Chapter 147: Daddy~

With Victoria's presence, Oscar also relaxed a little. Everyone felt the atmosphere brighten and relaxed. Then they talked like usual and a cheerful atmosphere began to surround everyone. 

Oscar was continuously putting food on Victoria's plate as soon as she finished and Victoria's appetite seemed to have improved by leaps which surprised others a little. But they felt happy about that and commented on it. 

Only when she was talking and smiling, Oscar felt relieved. Her smile had the power to make him happy and her gaze at him had the power to reassure him. His love for her made him relax, see the bright side, and ignore the dark side.

After they were done with dinner, they had desserts. One of them was ice cream which was something Victoria liked. Usually, Oscar would let her eat as much as she wants because that's the only thing she eat more than a normal person but now, he barely let her have two scoops which again stunned everyone.

After they were all done, Oscar introduced Aunt Marina to Victoria and sent her off with her. Before going back to the living room, Victoria held Oscar's hand and stopped him. Oscar turned around and looked at her. Victoria didn't say anything and hugged him. 

Oscar was stunned but then he returned her hug. He felt like he needed it. After a while in the beautiful silence, Victoria asked him.

" Why are you still thinking about it? I may have been in many unfortunate situations Oscar but God still loves me. No matter how bad a situation I encounter, in the end, I leave it alive and happy. You were the greatest gift of god to me and I can't be separated from you. I believe that we'll never separate. So don't worry okay? 

Didn't I listen to you well? I won't do anything which endangers my life. I promise I won't let harm comes our way. We both, your beloved wife and your child will remain safe. I promise so please let it go. You seem too worried and tense that you can hardly breathe and smile like you usually do. You still smile at me lovingly but behind it, I can clearly see your pain. 

I love you. More than myself and anything else. So seeing you like this hurts me. I want you to be happy. I want you to have a share of this happiness as much as I have it. I know you are happy about this news but you're focusing more on the other. I told you to not be pessimistic. Okay? Please do it for me... "

" Hmm... " Victoria smiled hearing him.

" Then kiss me like you always do. You haven't kissed me since I woke up again." 

Oscar's eyes were extremely tender as he held her face in his arms and gave her a very loving kiss. 

After that, they went in. Victoria also remembered that Oscar didn't sleep all night. She thought he would sleep with her when she went to sleep again but it seems he didn't. She was getting really worried about him. 

All she could do now was to take care of herself and listen to him. She was constantly reassuring him but he was not calming down at all. Still, in front of her, he seems to relax and get distracted. 

They sat down on the couch and held each other's hands. Victoria squeezed Oscar's hand and finally told them.

" Mom, Dad, Uncle, Aunty, Mike... I am going to be a mother." Victoria felt quite emotional as she said that. Oscar held her hand tightly and stayed beside her. 

" ... And Oscar's gonna be a father." Victoria turned to look at Oscar as she said that. She wanted him to actually realise that he was soon going to be a father. He was so worried about her that he haven't digested the news yet.

Oscar's pupils shook as he stared into her dazzling and reassuring eyes. Right now, nothing but her sparkling eyes could make him calm down and overlook the pessimistic situation. He actually began to dream yet again about a small family of theirs. 

About a little girl just like Victoria roaming around the house and calling in her sweetest childish voice.

" Daddy~ "

He felt scared to just imagine that. He was afraid he would waver. He didn't dare to dream again after knowing the situation because then he could be pushing himself into the worst situation. 

If he has to choose between them, then he would rather die. His eyes went red and he promised himself that until anything happens, he would love her to his best and only think about the beautiful future and nothing else.
