After they were done, Oscar paid the bill and then they went out. Oscar wanted to change his clothes so he went to the mall with her. He told Victoria to look around as he went to buy a set of clothes.
However, the clothes he brought weren't as luxurious as before. Rather, it was quite random. After he changed into the simple black pants and white hoodie, Oscar went back to Victoria.
Then they went to a nearby cafe.
" When did you come here?"
" Just tomorrow. In the evening."
" Oh. Then shall I show you around?"
" Okay."
" Japan has amazing places to tour. You will enjoy it."
" Yeah."
It was night soon. Victoria and Oscar went to a park with a lake. It was beautiful and peaceful. There were not many people at night. Oscar took Victoria to a beautiful spot where they can see the place but others can't see them.
It was nice and gave them space to be comfortable. They sat down on a big rock. It was comfortable. Oscar saw that there was nothing to lean on so he let Victoria lean on his chest while he cosily hugged her from behind.
They nustled together and silently enjoyed. For them, just being with each other was enough. They were happy just like that. They were content with it.
" Oscar, can you tell me now?"
" What?"
Oscar was confused. Victoria gazed at him deeply as she said.
" About what happened after you left."
Oscar's eyes flickered as he looked hesitant. Victoria get closer to him and said.
" Don't leave anything. Tell me everything, okay?" She requested gently.
Oscar stayed silent for a while but yielded to her gentle stare. He hugged her tighter and looked ahead as he started.
" I went back to the city. Then I left my subordinates to look over you and my family. After that, I went to Japan. I liked Japan. I wanted to stay in Asia and Japan was the best choice at the moment. It was also a place where no one will recognise me."
Victoria silently listened with all her focus. Oscar spoke in a low voice as he continued.
" After arriving in Japan, I didn't know what to do. At first, I stayed in a hotel but I quickly run out of the cash I brought. Then I went to search for a job. I got interested in pottery. So now I make pots and things like that... "
" Why didn't you bring any money?"
" ...I felt like I didn't deserve it. I was leaving everything behind so how can I selfishly take the money?"
Victoria felt bad. Again the feeling of guilt hit her.
" While I was trying to get a pottery job in a shop, I met a friend. His name is Asahi. He was the owner. It was a small shop but we earned to live with that. We become buddies fast. Later, Asahi saw I was struggling to find a place and lend me a room. His house was right above the shop and he lived alone. He rented me at a cheap cost. I was thankful and planned to repay him.
It had been two months when I found this job. After that, I worked day and night to keep myself busy. We were both good pottery makers so customers liked our arts. Slowly, we earned better. After four months, we earned pretty well. Then Asahi forcefully took me to visit the famous places around. We only went to nearby places. He wanted to take me on a tour in Japan and even saved enough for it but I rejected him.
A month passed by like that. Then we came back and got back to our routine. In these five months, we worked hard. We also opened up our shop's exhibition in Arita town of Saga prefecture. It went well and our shop kept doing better. Asahi's ancestors were all in the same work. He had a lot of ancient pots at his home.
I don't know what happened to his family but I think something bad happened. He never talked about them. I am very grateful to him. Last night, he suddenly took me to a hot spring. I didn't want to soak so I told him that I'll take a walk instead. And that's when I met you... "
