Chapter 133: Skin Her Alive!

As they were on their way, the atmosphere was awfully silent in the car. There was a silent tension accompanied by a lot of complex emotions. Oscar was avoiding looking at her. While Victoria knew talking wasn't going to make the situation any better.

Just like that, with a tense atmosphere, they reached the place. Victoria looked around carefully and saw that it was an isolated underground base. It was on the outskirts of an abandoned area with very strong security so that no one would ever discover this place. 

Seeing that, Victoria was sure it was a hidden base for illegal work. Though she was a lawyer and wasn't very supportive of illegal things, she had to admit that at times, illegal ways helps bring justice to her clients faster and saves them. But it was all her personal opinion. 

Oscar having illegal business didn't ever make her not love him or love him less. Because she knew one thing, that is Oscar would never wrong an innocent person. That was the only thing important to her.

Oscar seemed stiff as he lead the way. There was intense pressure in the air. Via a lot of secret passages, they finally seemed to reach an area which was especially cold. The fading smell of blood lingered in that place mixed with the smell of disinfectants. 

There were locked rooms. Some of them were like prisons while some were completely closed up. At the very end of the place, there was a closed room which was very different from the rest of it. Just looking at it gives one cold sweat. It gave a very dark vibe which made her feel strange.

Coming in front of the room, Oscar seems to have frozen. Victoria felt his fear and hesitation. But they have come too far to go back now. After a long time, Oscar finally went forward and opened the door. 

There was a strong smell of disinfectants and medicines. And this particular room seems to have been cleaned very thoroughly. But it all still couldn't hide that faint smell of blood lingering in the room. 

Victoria stepped in with Oscar and as soon as she did, she forgot everything. Her mind blanked around and she froze in her spot. In the middle of the spacious room, was a man tied to the chain similarly to how she once was. His face couldn't be recognised because it was like a skull but Victoria couldn't forget a face of such an evil man.

After a long time, she got her senses back. There was a chill in her heart and her whole body emitted a coldness that was colder than the room. After all, her old self was also a part of her. Though she didn't have to be that cold all the time, she was still cold when faced with the world's cruelty.

" Why did you bring me here Oscar? And why is this shit still alive? Didn't the news report him being executed?" Victoria turned around and stared into Oscar's eyes as she spoke. Her eyes were extremely cold and emotionless. 

" ... After you were declared to be in the coma, I used my connections to take him in my hands and let the news report him to be executed. Then, till the day you opened your eyes, I personally tortured him the way he hurt you. Then when I left you, I left his in the hands of my people here. They didn't really torture him anymore but his health deteriorated too much to be healthy again. We reunited so suddenly and got married as soon as that so I didn't have time to show you this. Moreover... I was afraid that you would hate me for this so I didn't tell you until now."

Victoria was silent for a long time. When she didn't speak, Oscar spoke again.

" I actually kept him alive because I wanted you to decide his end. I wanted you to take revenge or do whatever you want. He damaged your health and took away more than 2 years of your life."

Victoria still didn't say anything for quite some time. After that, she strode forward towards that person. He seemed to be in a semi-conscious state. Her eyes were a little red but still cold enough to freeze anyone. Then she asked in a low voice. 

" Is he conscious?"

" Yeah just throw cold water in that glass on his face and he'll be conscious."

Victoria didn't say anything more and threw the cold water on his face emotionlessly. Then he slowly got his senses back. Seeing Victoria, he was shocked then a deep scary hatred was seen in his eyes. After all, Victoria alone was the reason for his demise. She brought his demise. How he wished to just skin her alive!
