Despite being an average student, she was now a very wealthy and talented lawyer. As to how she could do that, it was her willpower.
Her dedication, despair, willpower, nightmares, and will to not see injustice upon women again are the reason for her to do it.
She had hundreds of reasons to not do it but she had one reason to do it and she did it.
All she wanted was to give them the Justice they are deprived of. Therefore, she achieved something that was out of her reach. Something she would never be able to do as a normal person. God has said that if you are doing something good for others, you will never know when you will pass your limits and achieve impossible things. Now, she had everything. Wealth, Reputation, Respect and power etc but there was only one thing she lacked. That was connections. If she were to fight against a person with connections from higher-ups, she won't be able to do anything. That was what she was trying to get now. She was trying to make connections with great people.
That night, after taking bath in her luxurious bathroom, Victoria went to bed with a book in her hand. She opened the lamp beside her bed and read the book. She read it until midnight before she felt sleepy. She put the book aside and closed off the lamp before going to sleep. However, as she closed her eyes, many things were going inside her mind. She was reading a case in which the victim was actually not a victim but framing the other person for an old grudge. The victim was punished for it and lost the case however, nobody asked the victim why she did that and what was that old grudges.
In the end, the victim was crying as they were taking her away as she said some broken words.
" No! No! Don't leave him like this! He deserves hell! He hurt her! He was the one who took her away from me! He should die! Don't leave him like this! Please don't do that! Please... "
These were the words written at the last in the case file. Nobody heard the voice of the victim who was not actually the victim. Everyone just looked down on her. The judge easily passed the verdict that she is guilty of framing the other person while he is innocent. Everything just ended like this. This was a case from 5 years ago. That victim was given a sentence of 7 years in jail. Guess she is still there.
She fell asleep while thinking about this. A little before dawn, she woke up with a start while sweating slightly. She had that nightmare again. The nightmare in which she saw the little girl and her family. It was the nightmare that constantly reminded her of what she was desperately trying to forget. It was a dream that was her everlasting nightmare. Something that wouldn't let her forget the past. Something that wouldn't let her let go of the past.
With a slight headache, she went to get ready for the office. She wore a black suit.
She went to her office to pick up some documents before going to the high court. Today was the final hearing of two cases she had taken. In one, the victim was murdered so it was quite intense while in the other one, the victim has suicided. She was quite sure to win both of these cases because she had done her best.
As expected, she won both of these cases. In the murder case, the assailant was given 18 years in jail while in the suicide case, the assailant was given 10 years of jail.
Victoria departed from the high court with a heavy heart. It was lunchtime but she wasn't hungry. She directly went to her office. She had her own office with 2 more people beside her. One helps her in investigating while the other helps her in office work.
It was situated in a good place with proper security. She had brought out a compartment in a building of that complex. They had good security and neighbours. It was a proper one with good facilities.
It was quite spacious with good furniture. There were two rooms, one hall and one kitchen. In the space for the kitchen, they put a microwave, Kettle and instant coffee, instant tea and etc. There was also a fridge and a freezer. Though there was instant coffee, they also had a coffee machine and the proper utensils for serving. There were also some cookies and other things for serving. They were for the victims who came to her and the other guests.
Things like tissues, toilet papers, handwash and etc were also stored in the cupboard of the kitchen. Their office was small and contained only three people but it was very systematic and comfortable. The furniture was all of the best qualities. The hall where they talk with the victim and guests was magnificently set up.
