Chapter 139: Claws Of Death.

Oscar couldn't control himself. He tried to stop crying but it was hard to calm down. As he saw Victoria cry, he felt worse and controlled himself because he didn't want to hurt her. She was already so devastated after knowing the news and might even blame herself for it. He couldn't add more to it.

He held her face and wiped her tears as he consoled her.

" Don't cry. It's okay don't worry. I understand you. I can't bear to lose you and I can't make that decision. You are the most important person to me but our child is innocent. We have seen the world but she hasn't. Though I can't choose one, I will do my best for both of you."

Despite trying his best to calm himself down, his red eyes and heavy breathing betrayed him and showed clearly what he was feeling. He was the most pitiful person. He was standing in a deadlock. 

And asking him to make a decision was like giving him a death sentence. Because whichever he chooses, he would lose the meaning of his life. 

He can't live without Victoria yet he can't be like normal if he chooses to abandon his child. Doing that would make it hard for him to breathe peacefully. He won't even be able to sleep. So for him, he was in the worst position. 

He desperately wished that he could be the casualty in this situation and let his wife and child remain safe. If only that was an option. But unfortunately, he was in the safest position. And that's why he was so miserable. 

However, since there was no other choice but to take the risk, he have to give it his all. He's willing to die taking care of her but his only wish is his care would be enough to make her healthy enough to survive. 

Then he held her hand and took her to the couch in the couch and told her.

" Sit down. Take a rest and don't worry. I will prepare everything for tomorrow. I will go and prepare dinner for now. Tomorrow, I will hire a professional nutritionist for your diet. I will make sure that you are both safe in this world. I am determined to not lose you and our child no matter what!"

Victoria was in a really bad condition. She was totally blaming herself while she knew how cruel she was to Oscar which was backfiring at her as he was her most beloved person. 

However, as a mother, she just couldn't give up on her child. She was devastated right now and her mind was a mess.

She was feeling very terrible and couldn't describe it. She just wanted these messy feelings to disappear. She felt like she couldn't even breathe peacefully. This led to her becoming a total mess which was dangerous. 

When women are pregnant, their thinking can go from one point to another in a second. They will think very dangerously. Moreover, their health gets affected easily by their emotions. All these things just make the already bad situation worse. 

At that moment, when she didn't even know how to breathe and felt all alone in the world, Oscar yet again reminded her of his beautiful presence. His warm words let her take a breath. And his determination to have them both safe and sound made her feel alive again.

She felt relieved. Finally, she convinced herself to forget the sad things and celebrate the good news. And she knew, her Oscar would always be there for her. She was also prepared for what was to come. He wasn't alone. She dare not leave him alone in this situation. 

If it was just about her, she would not be this extreme. But when it comes to her child, she will go to the ends of the world.

What is her work compared to her child? Work is surely important, but if it endangers the life of her baby in the slightest bit, she will not hesitate to stop working. After all, she is not the only lawyer in the country. And moreover, she can get help from others and guide others to do important work. 

The job she does is something she has to be really responsible for. Even if she is sick she can't easily rest at home as she pleases. At certain times, she has to abandon everything for her work. But there was only one thing she could never abandon. It was the life inside her. Not just her. Not a single mother can ever abandon their child even if they have to be in the claws of death for them. That's the love of a mother and therefore their destiny. 

If she dies while giving birth, then it would be her destiny. Her life would meant to end there. After all, what's written by His hands cannot be denied.

She literally doesn't have to leave her home unless and until she had no other option. Her family is her topmost priority. She loves Oscar and her child more than anything. And she can't live a day without them. So she will do everything in her power to keep her family intact. She won't let her family be destroyed or left with an irreparable crack.
