They couldn't handle the pain anymore. They couldn't pretend everything is alright in the eyes of their family. All they needed was their family's support. Though they didn't want to hurt them and worry them, they needed them.

For a child, at such times, all they need was their mother's warm hug to cry in. They only need their mother to c console them and tell them that everything is alright. Only they can assure them. Only their mothers can give them strength.

After all, they are both so broken that they can't console each other. They are like two broken cups whose lifeline that is water is spilling out. If one wants to save another, he needs to stop his water from spilling first. He needs to stop his heart from bleeding first to be able to help her.

Both of their eyes went red looking at each other. Victoria clenched her fist tightly and looked down. Oscar looked up at his mother with red eyes and pursed his lips. To be honest, now that they are as good as exposed, there was no use in hiding. But unfortunately, they just didn't have the voice to speak.

Opening their mouth was as good as stabbing themselves on the existing wound. Caroline's voice softened but she still said resolutely to them. While Sia just stood beside her without approaching them. She wanted to console them seeing them hurt but they needed to know the truth more than anything else.

" Oscar, Victoria, we are your elders. We can handle everything. We will be by your side. So tell us what's troubling you guys? We are your parents. You can't hide anything from us."

Hearing her, Victoria really broke down. She sat down helplessly and tears streamed out of her eyes like they were caged for centuries.

She couldn't control herself anymore. She couldn't deceive herself anymore. Things were not okay. They need to be okay. She and Oscar were from no angle okay. They were far from okay.

Oscar's eyes went extremely red and tears were barely hanging in there. He looked away and clenched his hands. Victoria's whimpers broke his heart. He felt so useless to do anything in this situation.

Seeing that like this, Caroline and Sia were startled. Something feels very wrong. An ominous feeling spread around them and they felt like they could hear their heart cracking.

Sia rushed forward and hugged Victoria. She wiped Victoria's tears as her eyes went red to and asked her in an extremely soft voice.

" What's wrong dear? Tell Mamma. Hmm?"

Victoria was sobbing so badly that she couldn't even speak or breathe properly. She said with difficulty. Tears still fall out of her eyes.

" Mamma... Mamma... "

" I am listening dear. I am listening."

" Mamma... I-I don't want to-to leave Oscar and my ch-child alone. I-I want to accompany them. I want to-to be with them. I want to hear them call-calling us Mummy and Daddy. I want to see them go-going to school for the fir-first time. I-I don't wanna die... I don't wanna... "

Victoria cried loudly. Unable to speak anymore. She put everything out in open and accepted the reality she was running from. She could die. More importantly, even her child is endangered.

" It-Its okay if I-I die but Mamma... Not-not my child. Not my child! Please, save her! Please save her. Please let her and Oscar live for a long time. Please... Save... Them... "

This reality affected Victoria's health badly. She began to have panic attacks after a long time. Which was not good for her.

" Haa... Haaa... Haaaaa... "

" Vic-Victoria! Victoria! "

Hearing this, Oscar instantly turned around with no time to hide his tears and when he saw her condition, his pupils contracted and everything went dark in front of his eyes. He ran to her desperately and held her.

He couldn't see anyone else and picked her up and took her to the bedroom and hugged her tightly. So tight that he held feel her uneven heartbeats.

" Victoria! Victoria! Everything will be alright! I promise! I will keep you and our child safe so breathe, okay?!"

Seeing that she still wasn't getting well, despair filled Oscar's eyes as he said.

" Victoria, for our child, okay? You know it will harm the child if you are in this condition right? So take a deep breath for our child okay? Let's do this. We can do this okay? We'll be okay. You and our child will be okay, I promise!"

It really worked as her situation stabilised. But the attack took a toll on her body and she didn't even have the energy to speak. Before falling asleep, Victoria asked in a daze.

" Even... Even without me... Promise me you'll both live... Promise... Me... "

Then she fell asleep. For whole ten minutes, Oscar sat frozen there with her in his arms. Her words were the sharpest blades to ever stab his heart. Just what is she asking him? He ain't that strong! He is also weak. How is he supposed to live without her...

Tears fell out of his eyes. After a few minutes, he forced himself to calm down and went out. He wanted to call their private doctor to come and check up on her. As he went out, he saw everyone at the door.

He froze. They looked similar to the time she was in the emergency operating room in the last accident. Their eyes were red and unable to hide their pain. After a long time, no one spoke. Finally, Andrew said.

" Oscar, I've already called our doctor. He'll be here soon. It'll be okay."
