Everyone absent mindedly left the dining room. Victoria entered her bedroom and closed the door. Then she leaned on the door and slowly slipped down with a blank expression. What's going on? Why did he disappear? Why the hell is she feeling so messed up? What is this feeling?! She really hates it!"

" Knock... Knock... "

The voice of her door-knocking brought her back to her senses. Victoria quickly stabilised her expression and opened the door.

" Mumma?"

Sia was standing there. Victoria stepped aside to let her mother come in. Sia looked different than usual as she came in. She went to sit down on the sofa. Victoria also felt something was off. She also silently followed her mother to sit down in front of her.

Sia looked up and gazed at Victoria's eyes.

" W-What's wrong Mom?"

" Are you okay?"

" What do you mean Mom?" Victoria was confused.

" Victoria, I thought you would've figured it out by now."

" What Mom?"

" Oscar disappeared after you told him off... From the looks of it, you are quite bothered by that. You are not good at hiding your feelings Victoria."

Victoria's pupils contracted a little.

" M-Mom, that's not true. I-I think I am just stressed. I am not bothered by him!"

" Victoria! Why don't you understand?! You are in denial! I can see clearly that you care about him but you keep denying it and that only makes the situation worse. You have no clue about how you feel nor do you really understand the extent of Oscar's feelings. You just shut him off because you feel like you will become weak and dependent if you give in to those feelings! Victoria! I have never scolded you nor felt that you were wrong but this time you are. You are hurting others but most importantly, what you are doing right now is going to hurt you the most!"

Victoria's mind went blank. For the first time, Sia talked to her like this. She wasn't shouting at her or scolding her. She wasn't being harsh either. But Sia had never talked this seriously about something to her. She never reprimanded her either. But this time, she told her that she was wrong.

Victoria grew up under the wings of her mother. She loved her mother the most and they were closer than anyone else. She would talk out and share everything with her mother. It was just in her nature to keep some things hidden. Like in situations when things suddenly hit her, she just left quietly instead of thinking about it or talking with someone else.

" Mom! What are you saying? I don't un-understand!"

Sia took a deep breath and calmed down. She didn't want to hurt or scare Victoria but the parent must stop their children from making a decision they will surely regret.

" Victoria, what I am saying is... You are denying your feeling. You... Love Oscar. Or rather you like him a lot. And for people like you, they can only love one person in their life. You liking him either means you love him or will love him. Victoria, god is being very gracious to you. Very few people got a chance at love yet they end up messing it up. You are very lucky Victoria. You are being gifted by god. Don't deny such a blessing. Once it's gone, you will never find it."

Sia left. After a long time, Victoria lay motionless. The next morning came and she went to work. She worked till midnight.

Another morning came and she worked till midnight. Days passed by and Victoria never stopped. Hailey and Jan looked at her worriedly. She was back. The Victoria they were familiar with was back. It was like those few days were just a dream. Victoria wanted to work day and night. Unfortunately, she didn't have anything to work on. She somehow worked till midnight.

Victoria didn't know why her work suddenly seem easier than before. She keeps on taking more hard cases but they got solved easily. She wanted to work so hard that she had no energy to even think but that didn't work.

Sia felt very bad seeing Victoria like this but she didn't take her words back or deny them just to make her feel better. If she gives in to momentary pain, Victoria will live the rest of her life in this way. No matter what, to live a healthy life one needs a companion that will stay with them no matter what.

A life partner who will be the only one to accompany her to the very end. A life that will be blessed and bring much more than she could ever imagine.

Victoria is scared. She is not sure about living with someone. Depending on someone or loving someone. However, Sia could clearly see it. Victoria is a kind person who always loves someone and when they do, they do it with all their heart.

Whether as a daughter, a sister, a wife or a mother, Sia was hundred per cent sure that Victoria is meant to play those roles in her life. She may deny it however she wants but Sia has watched her since she was born.

Victoria wasn't born to live alone. She is born to be loved and to love. She will be treasured by the ones who love her and she will treasure the ones she loves. Once she breaks the wall around her heart, she will open up to a new world which will be a paradise she can escape to whenever she wants to.

Days kept passing by. Sometimes longer than ever but sometimes, shorter than they realised. Slowly but surely, time was running.

Oscar's family, Mike, Wick and even Sia used all their connections, hired detectives and searched. But never did they ever find Oscar. Victoria didn't come forward but she subconsciously always kept updated about any news regarding him.

Slowly the time passed by without any news and everyone started getting restless. Victoria denied it but after some time, she couldn't even sleep.

One day they got false news about Oscar. Victoria run there only to know it wasn't him. She stood frozen by her car. People passed by. Time passed by. She didn't more frozen like an ice block. She held the car for support. Slowly she sat down in her car.

People stopped coming by. Victoria's blank eyes suddenly got filled with tears as they fell without a break. For the first time, she cried. She didn't stop until she fell asleep while crying. It has been 6 months since she woke up. It means it's been six months since Oscar was gone. She was scared. She was worried. She was lost. She was messed up because he is gone. She was starting to get scared that she would mess up her life because she can't calm herself down or stop thinking about him.

Victoria finally realised her feelings. She loves him. Mom was right. She denied it because she was scared of what she was feeling but she brought this upon herself. She sent him away. No one knows where he is gone and what he is doing. But he is surely the only one who managed to capture her heart but she pushed him away.

Victoria regretted it. She didn't regret doing anything as much as she regrets telling Oscar off. Why was she so stupid? Why couldn't she realise her feelings that were so obvious? From the moment she told him off, she felt troubled. She felt bothered seeing him because she loved him but didn't know. however, she blamed him for everything and caused such a thing to happen. She destroyed everything herself. It was true.

People like her don't deserve love. They don't deserve to be blessed because when they are, they throw it away without blinking their eyes. There is no one to blame but her.

And just like that, without any changes in these people's life... A Year Passed by since Oscar's disappearance.
