The two of them were a force to be reckoned with. Where Lancer was a hulking powerhouse of strong thrusts and pokes that ruptured hoes in the side of the warehouse, her master was a mess of lighting-fast strikes and blocks a hurricane in his own right. Despite Berserker's seeming advantage they slowly began to encroach on the ground he gained. It was this fact that did not go unnoticed by the master performing the ritual. "Just a little bit longer it is almost here," he mumbled himself his eyes going wide.

Lancer and her master continued to push forward the claws on Berserker unable to find purchase on either of them as they worked together perfectly as if they had always been meant to fight in sync with one another. From Reverant's perspective, they looked as if they were one person one simply an extension of the other's being. That is what berserker could not compete with as he clearly was on his last legs. The other master noted this as well, and biting his tongue knew he had to do something, or else all his plans would fall through.

"GANDR!" he shouted, turning to Rider with his arm outstretched as a large blast of blue mana shot from his hand. Rider easily dodged it with a smile. "Dang I think you missed," she said as cocky as ever. "I never do," was the strained and gravely response she got in turn. She whipped her head around and she knew she was already too late, the blue orb of energy had arched its way past her straight to her master's friend and the master of Rider. From how things looked if either he or Lancer moved to make a step to block the strike Berserker would get the one up and finish one of them, it was that close of a match.

Of course, her master knew this too, and seeing the blue orb streak past Rider he had already made up his mind. With a burst of sudden speed, he ran past the two of them. And stood poised just before his friend and what could amount to be death. "Glad I picked up on that stupid strengthening magecraft of yours," he said with a cheeky grin that made Lancer's master's eyes fill with sorrow.

The explosion rang out with such ferocity it knocked all parties easily 50ft back. Lancer now held Reverant in her arms. Lancer had since gotten used to seeing all different types of people while working with her master. Sometimes he would take her out for patrol during the day the people of the modern world amazed her, other times would be another magus, but the one she now held in her arms was by far the most interesting character. The man wore a navy blue suit and seemed to be of much more "esteem" in comparison to her own master, yet the two of them still got along well. According to Kaiser, they had been friends since grade school despite the mysterious man working for the organization that is hunting Lancer's master.

Yet now where she currently knelt his lifeless form was in her arms. He was another master involved in the war, with his Rider class servant. Despite this things had turned bad so fast. Reverant was the only name that Lancer knew him by. Her master and Reverant had agreed to team up to deal with another strong force in the war, though when things were coming to a close he gave his life for Lancer's master. "[ERROR] please look after my daughter and make sure she grows up into a fine magus," Reverant coughed out as blood trickled down his mouth. "No no Reverant don't give out on me, you can still make it," Lancer's master cried as he racked his brain for anything he could do.

Lancer slowly looked up towards the other master who was now standing before the ritual he had been performing adequate time had been bought. Rider caught Lancer's eyes as she gave a slight wave, tears forming in her eyes as she faded to sparkles. Lancer felt when Reverant's body fully gave out as the hand he had been resting on her master finally fell to the floor. The room went quiet with the exception of the sound of magic crackling from behind Lancer's master. "Lancer please help me," her master said unable to meet her gaze. Lancer only nodded unable to speak herself. "Thank you," he said finally slowly standing.

Lancer had never seen him this way and as she looked at him, she could see the air around him warble as if it was being superheated. "It's time we end this Yosen," her master spoke with a tone of voice that was the closest thing to silent rage she had ever heard from him.
