The day before the wedding came round far too quickly. Lexie laid awake for hours before her alarm was due to go off. Johnny was quietly snoring beside her, as she went over every last single detail of the day.
Chanel were due to drop her dresses at the chateau, just before lunch, which meant they all didn't have long to get up and get over there. Although a lot of the planning was all in hand, the perfectionist Lexie, and the private man Johnny was meant they both liked to oversee a lot of things themselves. Lily-Rose and Jack had arrived to stay with them the day prior and this evening, the Depp's were throwing out tradition, and having a dinner just the three of them and Lexie. It was simple, elegant and just how they wanted to celebrate becoming a family. Johnny rolled over and his arm subconsciously tightened around his fiancé. This made the woman smile, she loved him with all of her being and couldn't imagine spending her life with anyone else. They had already been through so much together and faced a lot of obstacles but now more than ever she appreciated having somebody like him in her life.
The chateau provided the perfect festive backdrop for their wedding. It was cold in Paris, but it was cosy. The huge fireplaces were filled with roaring fires, and the old building was more than big enough to accommodate all of their guests. As soon as they arrived hand in hand looking as smitten as ever, the bride to be was whisked off to the suite where she would be getting ready the next day, her dresses were waiting for her and the Chanel team wanted her to try them on for a quick rehearsal. Lexie happily obliged and stood on the small platform provided by the fashion house in front of the biggest mirror she had ever seen. The ceremony dress was exquisite. It was fitted and then flared out into the most beautiful full A line train. It was fairly plain but the soft satin material gave it such an elegant classic look. Final adjustments were made and hair and make up styles confirmed as Lexie undressed and slipped on the equally as elegant dress for the reception party. This was more of a soft satin evening gown. It had corset detailing but was extremely sophisticated and still very bridal. It would be much easier to move around in and for her to enjoy the party without giving up a chic look. Lexie profusely thanked the team who had arrived with her dresses and promised to give them much credit after the wedding had been announced. They swiftly left, with Kate and the wedding planner for the chateau showing them out. Lexie sat on one of the many couches in the suite, it was more of an entire wing than a suite but it still felt extremely cosy and homely. Lexie was so pleased that Johnny had worked here and that she had decided to visit that day. After all who knows what venue they would have ended up choosing if she didn't.
After many hours of organising, and partaking in briefings about security, food, photography, and other logistics Johnny and Lexie had quite frankly had enough, they never wanted their wedding to be a huge circus, and granted with 120 of their closest friends and family it was quite big but they still wanted it to feel intimate. Private. They climbed in the waiting car with Sean and Travis and headed back into the city. They would be dining out tonight with the two children, something Johnny had taken to organising himself and he had kept it all a surprise from his wife to be. They arrived back to the town house rather quickly, where the last of their luggage for the wedding weekend and then later honeymoon was packed and put in the cars to be taken to the chateau later that evening.
Lexie and Lily rushed round getting ready with the latter constantly entering the master bedroom asking Lexie for fashion or make up advice. Johnny who was lying on the bed playing with his watch finally stood up "Get out young lady." Lily turned and poked her tongue out at her father. "Lexie needs some time to destress not to worry about whether your pink lipstick matches your purse. From now on ask me." The teenager rolled her eyes "Dad.. you don't know the first thing about fashion!" The man rolled his eyes before shooing his daughter out the room and closing the door. "Sorry darling.. are you ok?" "I'm fine, I just wish I could help her more, this week has been so busy I hope the children don't feel too left out." "No of course they don't, and I'm sure they'll love their gifts too." Johnny said kissing his fiancé's neck. Currently she just had on a satin robe, and her hair curled, which he had just brushed out the way. She had opted for soft glam make up which made her eyes pop as she looked at him directly in the mirror. His eyes met hers before he slowly lowered his lips back to her neck making her squirm. "This time tomorrow, you'll be Mrs Depp." He whispered against her skin, resulting in her body tingling. She smiled and he continued his descent before she turned her head and her lips captured his. "We don't have time..." she whispered. "You're right... I guess this morning really was the last time that I ravished you as Miss Donnington hey..." Johnny said standing up straight. "If it helps, I can't wait for you to ravish me as Mrs Depp?" She winked before turning slowly on the stall to reface the vanity.
Eventually the four were ready, and Lexie had shouted down the stairs she would be two minutes she was just putting on her shoes. Johnny was stood in the living room waiting with his children, and they were talking animatedly about the next day. Finally, Lexie entered the room and picked up a glass of champagne and took the three Depp's breath away.

"Oh Lily, you look amazing! So beautiful, and Jack look at your suit! You handsome little devil!" Lexie said as she moved closer to them. The children both smiled at the praise as Johnny finally found his voice. "Darling, you look wonderful. So beautiful." "Thank you... I know Lily said usually at rehearsal dinner's the bride wears white but I thought that might make things obvious, plus this is a little festive isn't it?" Lexie said giggling and sipping her drink. "You look really pretty Lexie." Jack said as he put his arm round his future stepmother. "Are you ready for our evening out?" Johnny asked as he finished his drink. "Sure am! Where are we going?" Lexie asked excitedly as Lily bounced on the spot. "So we are going for dinner at The Four Seasons. We have a private room waiting for us and then we'll go onto the Chateau." Lexie smiled "That sounds wonderful Johnny." "Anything for you three."
The family had been sat at the elaborately sat table for a while and had just been served their main courses when Lexie raised her glass, "I just want to say, what an honour it is to be dining in one of the most beautiful places in one of the most beautiful cities, with three of the most amazing people I think I have ever met. You guys have changed my life and I wouldn't have it any other way." Johnny smiled raising his glass as his children followed suit and the four clinked glasses before beginning to eat.
An hour or so later, the four were in the car heading to the chateau, there was a nervous energy in the vehicle, Jack couldn't stop talking, Lily was trying to be logical about things, whilst Johnny had reached over the middle seat to hold his fiancé's hand and reassuringly squeeze it periodically. She was watching the lights of the city begin to fade when she heard "So tomorrow you officially become a Depp. Will you have our surname straight away?" Jack asked. "Sorry, what was that Jack?" Lexie said bursting out her daydream. He continued "Are we allowed to call you Depp straight after the wedding?" Lily smirked as Johnny interrupted "Umm well it's complicated son. Lexie might not want to officially change her name." "But she's officially becoming a Depp by marrying you? Why wouldn't she?" "Some women choose not to change their names Jack, you don't have to take your husband's name!" Lily exclaimed. "But I want her to be a Depp like us!!" "She will be, but she doesn't have to take our name to do that son." "Oh ok.." "well I've been thinking a lot about it, and if it's ok with you.." Lexie said looking directly at Johnny "I really would like to take your name, if you're ok with it? People are always gonna say I'm using you to further my career anyway and I'm traditional so I want to take your name, if umm, that is ok with you guys?" Johnny smiled, he was sure that his fiancé wouldn't want to take his name, especially being an only child so it thrilled him that she wanted to become a Depp in every sense. He was old school and loved the thought of Lexie introducing herself as his wife without even using the words just giving her name. "I was thinking Lexie Donnington Depp for now and see from there." "It sounds so cool Lex!!" Lily said from the back of the car. Jack smiled happy that everyone would be officially family by name and Johnny squeezed his fiancé's hand once more. "Of course it's ok. There's nothing I would love more." He said beaming.
