Chapter 126

"No I did recognise you" Felix clarified. "We just didn't have the time to talk."

"True." Mingi agreed. "So what does the little cat want from me? I doubt you called to say hi to me. After all, if your memories are back, you'll know I had a hand in everything that happened to you."

"Well I remember that but that isn't why I called." Felix said. He suddenly had an idea. If Jeongin wasn't going to tell him about Aera, maybe Mingi would. "Can we meet later or tomorrow? I want to discuss something with you."

Mingi was silent for a while then he sighed. "And here I thought you called to inquire about Chan. Are you so heartless Felix? Do you really have no feelings for him anymore?"

Felix was taken aback. "Where did that come from? I didn't say I don't."

"Well, considering you didn't even ask of him and the way you treated him these past weeks, I'd say you just want revenge by making him suffer, depriving him of your love."

"W-What are you saying?" Felix asked annoyed. "I'm not seeking revenge and even I were, he deserves whatever I'm doing to him because he ruined my life. He ruined everything for me."

"That was wrong on his part" Mingi said. "And you're wrong on your part. Two wrongs don't make a right Felix. Chan is suffering. He suffered his entire life and he's still suffering now. You have no idea how much hurt is piled up inside of him and you're just adding to it."

Just adding to it?

"You're making it sound like everything's my fault." Felix said, feeling wronged. He only refused to talk to Chan. He was angry and it was his right to be.

Mingi sighed. "It's not. Sorry. This isn't the time to have this conversation. Let's meet as you said. Tomorrow. 4pm. I'll pick you up."

"Fine" Felix agreed. He was about to ask about Chan but Mingi continued to speak.

"And even though you didn't ask, I'll still tell you about Chan" he said. "He's currently in China and he's drowned in work. Someone made a huge mess of things there and he has to clean it up. Besides, he also started therapy so his schedule is completely packed. I'd advice you to please not contact him because he needs to concentrate and work on himself. A single word from you can make him run back here, abandoning the progress he's making there. If you want him to be a better person for you, let him also heal. You should focus on healing too. Some time apart with no contact whatsoever will be good for both of you."

Felix's mood suddenly dropped to zero. No wonder Chan hadn't contacted him. He wasn't even in the country.

"Don't expect him to contact you either" Mingi said.

Felix was shocked. How did Mingi know he was expecting Chan's call?

"I listened to your message." Mingi revealed. "He was sleeping when you called. I deleted everything so don't expect him to contact you. I deliberately hid his phone too so he had to buy a new one in China. I only can contact him and he can only contact me. I'm sorry Felix but this is for his own good. You weren't by his all his life like I was. Only I know how much he suffered. If you two are going to be together again, you both need to be healthy. Mentally. You may think I'm being cruel but you'll understand everything when we talk tomorrow. See you at 4, little cat."

With that, Mingi hung up, leaving Felix confused and sad.

"What did he say?" Jeongin asked.

"I don't know." Felix grumbled. He pulled his hood over his head and placed his head on the table. "I just feel like shit."

"Why?" Jeongin asked. "Did he say something to upset you?"

Felix groaned, raising his head. "He won't let me speak to Chan. I don't know why he's meddling in my relationship. He has no right."

Jeongin shrugged. "Well, he must have his reasons. I mean, this guy has always been with Chan. I think they grew up together. I don't think he can stand watching Chan mope after you hopelessly."

"It's not hopeless. I plan on taking him back." Felix grumbled.

"Anyway, I understand how he feels. If the roles were switched, I wouldn't want to see you moping over Chan like that either. I'd probably stop you from seeing him."

Felix recalled Mingi's words, saying they both needed to be apart from each other to heal. Who was he to decide that anyway? If it was therapy, they could go together. They didn't need to be apart.

But then, Mingi also said Chan had been suffering for a long time. And he's still suffering. Felix wondered what could have made Chan suffer so much in the past.

He suddenly gasped, realising that he didn't even know much about Chan's past. What happened after Chan's parents died? How did he live? How did he meet Mr Yoongi? How did he grow up? Where did he grow up? Just what happened in Chan's life?

How did Chan suffer?

He truly didn't know.

He wondered, has Chan been suffering all along? Even when they were together in the past, has Chan been hiding his pain? Why didn't he say anything? Why didn't he tell him?

Felix put his straw to his mouth, sipping his milkshake slowly. He realised he never really knew Chan. Meanwhile, Chan knew everything about him.

What sort of boyfriend has he been?

"Hey hey hey they're out. Lower your head" Jeongin said, quietly gesturing at the entrance to the VIP section.

Felix lowered his head and silently watched as Jimin was being pushed out on his wheelchair by Min Yoongi. Felix tried hard to recall Min Yoongi but he couldn't. It was like he had never met him before but there was this vague sense of dangerous familiarity. He felt uneasy.

"Let's follow them" Jeongin suggested. "I want to confirm if what I concluded is true. If it is, I'm afraid that we've gotten another problem on our hands."

Felix didn't understand what Jeongin was talking about but he agreed nonetheless. He wanted to know what Min Yoongi wanted from his hyung. If he hurt his hyung in anyway, there would be war.

Felix and Jeongin paid their bill then stealthily followed them. They could hear Jimin and Yoongi chatting but they could only grab bits and pieces.

Put together, it didn't make much sense but they could tell that Jimin and Yoongi were on good terms. It didn't seem like Jimin was in danger.

Min Yoongi and Jimin got to their car, a silver Rolls Royce and the friends watched as Min Yoongi helped Jimin into the car. He carried him bridal style and carefully placed him in the passenger seat.

Felix could almost say that the action was affectionate in some way. Min Yoongi even placed Jimin's legs very carefully, brushed his hair and whispered something that made Jimin laugh.

What the hell was going on?
