Chapter 45

Hyunjin couldn't help but smile at the lovesick appearance of Felix. In the five years they spent abroad, Felix had dated many people but he had never seen such a look an Felix's face before. Until now. It was the same face Felix wore whenever he was around Chan back then, before shit went down.

"I'm not sure how to describe it Hyunjin" Felix continued. "But that moment was kinda magical. The way he held me in his arms, the way he spoke into my ear, asking me if I was okay. I felt my heart literally skip a beat. It has never happened to me before"

Hyunjin couldn't help but laugh. Surely, Chan and Felix were fated to be. "You sound so lovesick right now. Lixie, your crush is legit. You need to make a move"

"That's the problem. I can't" Felix whined.

"What do you mean you can't?" Hyunjin asked. "Where did all your confidence go? Don't tell me the charming Lee Felix is scared"

"I'm not scared" he huffed. "It's just that Chan loves someone else. That Felix he thinks is dead. Chan said that that 'Felix' will forever own his heart and he'd rather die than love someone else. I heard him say it with my own ears. I don't stand a chance man. Besides, you guys said that 'Felix' is still alive. What if he comes back? What do I do then?" 

"Well, as Chris's friend, I can confidently tell you that he's interested in you"

Felix gave him a suspicious look. "How do you know?"

"For one, he told you to call him Chan. Something he forbade us to do" Hyunjin replied. "Two, he helped you to your seat and kept adding food to your plate. Three, I saw you two hug before he left"

"I was the one who hugged him first" he scoffed. "That one doesn't count"

"But he hugged you back didn't he?"

Felix recalled Chan immediately wrapping his arms around his waist and he blushed lightly. There was not a second's worth of hesitation. He did it instantly. As if it was a very natural thing to do.

Hyunjin smirked. "You see, Chris doesn't do stuff like that. I've know him for years but the highest thing he allows is a fist bump or a handshake. You're special to him Felix"

Still, even with those proofs, Felix found it hard to believe. Not everyone would like a person at first sight like him. "Okay, let's assume he likes me. What if he's using me as a rebound? For the other Felix. What if I'm just his replacement?"

"He won't do that" Hyunjin said confidently. He reached out and pinched Felix's nose. "Trust me"

"You say it like you know what he's thinking" Felix said, exasparatingly slapping off Hyunjin's hand.

Hyunjin chuckled. "Of course I do"

Not trusting Hyunjin's words at all, Felix groaned and placed his head on the counter. "What do I do Hyunjin?" he whined. "You have no idea how I feel. I really like him and it scares me. Anytime I ditch the idea of getting close to him, I feel this panic in my chest. Isn't it weird? Even at dinner, I felt like we've known each other for a long time which is impossible"

He raised his head and poked Hyunjin's knee with his finger. "Advice me. Real advice"

Felix looked really miserable and Hyunjin felt guilty of hiding information from him so decided to say the one thing he knew Felix could do. "If you like him so much then let nature take it's course. If you two are meant to be, you'll be. Don't think to much and just be your lovely self. Who in their right mind won't fall hopelessly in love with you?"

Equipped with advice that didn't push him into making any moves made Felix feel a whole lot better. He gave Hyunjin a grateful smile. "Thank you"

Hyunjin ruffled his hair and chuckled, "You're welcome kiddo"

The door to the kitchen clicked open and Changbin appeared in a pair of dark blue pyjamas, looking strict. "Bedtime you two"

Felix groaned and rolled his eyes. "Gosh this reminds me of the time I went for a sleepover at your house abroad. You changed from a cool doctor to a strict father. You made me sleep at 10pm sharp every single night. I feel so sorry for your future kids"

Changbin's strict father act cracked a little and he helplessly explained, "It was for your own good. You had exams at that time and you escaped Jimin so you could concentrate on reading. I would have let you guys chat a little longer but Jeongin called and said he'll be going to the site early in the morning and Seungmin caught a bad cold so he needs you to take JJ to school"

"I can still wake up early and take him even if I sleep late" Felix argued. "I'll set an alarm"

"We all know that's not possible sweetie" Hyunjin laughed, patting Felix on the shoulder. "Go to bed"

Felix couldn't believe Hyunjin wasn't taking his side this time. "Ugh fine" he groaned. "Strict father and a mother who supports him. Don't worry. I'll make sure to teach your kids all the bad stuff for you"

Hyunjin chuckled. "You're impossible"

Felix downed the rest of the hot chocolate and put the cup in the sink. "Goodnight you two"

"Don't stay up playing games or chatting with your friends online. I'll pop in and check" Changbin warned.

"Not if I lock the door" Felix replied then dashed out before any of them could say a thing.

After Felix left, Changbin closed the kitchen door and walked towards Hyunjin.

Based on how dinner went and Felix's explanation just now, he wasn't angry anymore but he still wanted to give Changbin a hard time so he frowned deeply and turned away.

"Come on baby, are you still mad at me?" Changbin asked, stopping in front of Hyunjin. "I really tried my best. Chris is sincere this time"

"Have you forgotten how good his acting is?" Hyunjin scoffed. "He could be doing the exact same thing this time"

"We both know that's not true" Changbin answered. He placed his hands on Hyunjin's closed thighs and parted them, stuffing his body in between. He snaked his hand around Hyunjin's waist and rested his head against his chest. "Give him one more chance. He's madly in love with Felix. He won't hurt him this time"

Having Changbin so close like that was disturbing his train of thought. He couldn't keep up the angry facade. "Well if you want my forgiveness, you'll have to work for it"

Changbin raised his head immediately. "What do you want me to do? You know I'll do anything"

Hyunjin smiled then gazed at Changbin seductively. He extended his hand to Changbin's collar and removed the first button. Then the next and the next. He then leaned close and licked Changbin's bottom lip.
