Chapter 133

"We inquired about your relationship with her and a lot of students said bullshit. Like, she cheated on you with someone else, she was a popular whore and she didn't deserve you. Fuck we heard all sorts of shit. You have no idea how much we wanted to kill you back then. We wanted to hurt you in the most brutal ways possible. You were really lucky your parents hid you away. Her death fucked us up, Felix. The worst was Mr Yoongi. That man didn't get the chance to watch his daughter grow up. She was taken away from him when she was a little girl and then she left forever before they could even see each other again. To say he was devastated was an understatement. Life had no meaning for that man anymore. All he wanted was to see you and your parents suffer for what you did."

"But I didn't do it" Felix blurted. He couldn't remember but he uttered those words subconsciously. Like he had been in such a situation before and that was what he said. He was shocked at his own behaviour. His head ached and he groaned softly, gently rubbing his temples.

"We didn't know it back then," Mingi said, not noticing anything different about Felix. "Her mother said it was you. The policemen said your group was known for such things and to top it all, we found her diary. Aera herself wrote down your name as her killer. So you see, Chris wanted to avenge his parents and we all wanted to avenge Aera. Our goals were the same. To bring down Lee Corps and to punish you for what you did."

Felix groaned. "But I didn't do it. I really didn't do it. I would never hurt her."

"None of us believed so back then," Mingi said. "Based on what she wrote in her diary, it was impossible to believe you hand no hand it. She called you a playboy. A mastermind. She said you dating her was all a dare. It was all planned and you never loved her from the beginning. Rumours had it that she was hard to get but you wanted to prove to everyone you could get any girl you wanted. It was a game to you."

"No" Felix groaned, wincing at the sharp pain that was repeatedly making his headache as short flashes of memories appeared in his mind.

He could see himself laughing with his friends, having fun in the classroom when a girl stormed into the class.

"Felix!" she shouted.

He couldn't see her face. It was blurry but he could tell that she was crying. She walked up to him and SMACK. Gave him an ear-ringing slap. She grabbed him by the collar and shook him as she screamed, cried and cursed.

'Why?'

'Why Felix why? What did I do to deserve this? How could you do this to me? What did I ever do to you? Didn't I accept you? Didn't I give you all my love? Everything Felix. Everything! I gave you all I am! How could you do this to me?'

"I didn't do it" Felix repeated, tears gathering in his eyes. "It wasn't a game. I really didn't do it. You should believe me. I didn't do it."

"It was too late when we found out the truth," Mingi said. "By that time, we had already entered the last phase of our plan. Chris had already destroyed his relationship with you. Everything was ruined and there was no way we could fix things. Mr Yoongi wasn't ready to listen to reason either. He just wanted to see you all fall and like I said earlier, Chris would do anything to please Mr Yoongi."

Voices were echoing in Felix's head. Voices of the past.

'I hate you, Felix! I hate you!'

'We're over! We're over you hear me? I never want to see you again!'

The surroundings changed. He suddenly saw himself in a familiar home. Chan was standing a few feet away, sneering at him.

'Think Felix, have I ever told you I love you?'

SMACK!

Aera was before him again, crying and screaming.

'You ruined my life! To think I loved you!'

Felix shook his head, covering his ears to keep the voices away but it was no use. They were in his head. Going on and on as if a repeat button had been pressed on his mind.

'I hate you, Felix! I hate you!

'How could you do this to me?!'

SMACK!

'I hate you, Felix, I hate you!'

'You ruined my life! I never want to see you again!'

"But I didn't do it." He cried, tears spilling down his cheeks. "I would never hurt you. I didn't do it. You know my feelings are genuine. How can you doubt me?"

This time, Mingi noticed something was wrong. He rushed over to Felix's side, shaking him by his shoulders. "Hey, hey Felix, are you okay?"

Felix could vaguely see her standing before him. Body thin and shoulders hunched. She was crying and shaking. He wanted to move closer, to hold her and tell her he was innocent but something kept his feet rooted on the spot. He held out a hand, struggling to get to her. "I didn't do it. I didn't do it. I didn't do it. Please, believe me."

"Felix, what are you saying? I told you, we know you're innocent." Mingi said. He was starting to panic. Could his words have triggered Felix's memories? "Felix wake up!"

'You ruined my life, Felix! You ruined me!'

He shook his head. "No. No no no no no no no. I loved you. I would never-"

'Lies! All you do is lie! You've already gotten what you want. You got the good girl. You slept with me and also bragged about it. Leave me alone. I never want to see you again!'

His head hurt so much his vision went blurry. The voices intertwined, rising higher and higher in his mind. Like a million Aera's screaming the same words over and over again. Everything hurt. His ears were ringing and it felt like his head would burst.

Felix couldn't take it anymore and so, he passed out in Mingi's arms.
