After half an hour of pain, Felix finally fell asleep, letting Seonghwa and the doctors rest. So as not to wake him up, they silently left the room and closed the door gently.
The rest of the family were waiting outside the door, anxious to know how Felix was doing.
"Is he okay now?" Mrs Lee asked anxiously.
Dr Sarias held a finger to his lips, indicating that they should remain silent. He then pointed at the door and mouthed; "He's asleep."
They all nodded in understanding and Jimin led the way to the dining room where they could speak without worrying about waking Felix up.
Seonghwa sat down and placed his head on the table, sighing heavily. "This is the first time I'm seeing Felix in so much pain and there was nothing I could do. He cried a lot. I really wish I could have transferred the pain to myself. That way, he'll feel better and won't cry"
Jimin, who was sitting beside him, placed a hand on his head and rubbed gently. "He'll be okay. He's our brother after all."
"Doctor, what happened to him?" Mrs Lee inquired. "Will he be okay?"
Dr Sarias nodded. "Felix will be fine but you should all be prepared because he may wake with all his memories this time"
Everyone froze.
"W-What do you mean?" Hyunjin asked. "How can he remember everything just like that?"
"We're not sure. That's why Dr Sarias used the word 'may'" Dr Anna explained. "But from our observations, we've deduced that Felix gets flashes or dreams of his memories when his emotions are heightened"
"For example, he said he was angry with all of you last night" Dr Sarias continued. "He found out that you've been hiding a lot of things from him which must have made him very sad so he dreamt of Aera's death."
"Her death was the most painful time of his life," Mrs Lee said. "Does this mean that what he will remember is determined by the emotion he feels?"
"Exactly" Dr Sarias nodded. "But it has to be deep. If it's happiness, he has to be extremely happy. If it's anger, he has to be extremely angry. The same goes for other emotions as well"
Changbin sighed. "No wonder he remembered Chan so fast. His love for Chan is deeper than we realise"
"Then, just now," Hyunjin said. "What was he feeling?"
"To hear his father has been imprisoned by the one he loves, it should be shock," Seonghwa said.
"Does that mean what he'll remember will correspond with shock?" Jimin asked, confused.
Dr Sarias shrugged. "It may vary. We don't know. We can only wait for him to wake up and hope it doesn't cause any adverse effects"
Mrs Lee sighed. "I shouldn't have told him about it. Now all our efforts to keep his past away are wasted."
"Maybe his past isn't supposed to be concealed from him," Hyunjin said. "It's a part of who he is. I mean, think about it. Despite all our efforts to keep him and Chan away, they still found each other. Despite not telling him the truth, his memories are coming back. Doesn't this mean something?"
Changbin nodded. "I think Hyunjin is right. No matter what we did, they still got together. Besides, Felix has changed. He's not as impulsive as he used to be. He thinks before he talks now. He considers the feelings of others. He's more mature and I believe he'll handle whatever we tell him. We shouldn't be afraid anymore."
"No," Mrs Lee said, shaking her head. "I do not agree. I only told him a bit about the past and he had an attack. What if something worse happens?"
"That was not an attack" Dr Anna immediately corrected. "He's recovering his memories. Your words were somewhat of a stimulus for him. He'll be fine. There's no need to worry"
They all breathed a sigh of relief, happy that Felix will be okay.
"I think that after this, we should tell Felix everything," Jimin said. "No holding back."
Hyunjin, Changbin and Seonghwa nodded.
"No holding back."

Mingi walked into Chan's office carrying a heap of files but paused in his tracks when he saw Chan sitting still, staring unblinkingly at his phone. He was the same way Mingi had left him an hour ago and there was not a single change in his position. Mingi placed the files inside a metal drawer opposite Chan then leaned against it with his arms folded.
"You don't have to keep staring at your phone like that you know," he said. "He'll call when he wants to."
"I don't want to miss it" Chan responded, not taking his eyes off the blank screen of his phone. He was so anxious that his body was slightly trembling. "He can call at any time"
Mingi sighed. "You've been like that since we came out of that conference. You didn't have breakfast and you haven't even had lunch yet and it's way past time. Who is Felix going to talk to if you pass out?"
"I wonder if Felix has had lunch yet" Chan pondered, completely missing Mingi's point. "Don't you think they should have concluded their discussion by now? What if he's hungry? It's been hours."
Before Mingi could reply, Chan continued; "Do you think Felix hates me already? Is that why he's not calling me? But he promised to call me no matter what. He promised to hear me out. Did he change his mind? Do you think they lied to him about everything just so that he'll hate me?" He thought for a while then shook his head. "They wouldn't do that. I'm sure I'm overthinking. But I wouldn't put it past Seonghwa though. The guy doesn't like me. Still, he's an honest person. He won't deliberately try to make Felix hate me right? What do you think Mingi? They must have finished talking by now right? Felix must be thinking of calling me. Maybe my phone will start ringing in like 2 minutes."
He tore his eyes away from the phone and gave Mingi a questioning look then resumed staring.
Mingi pushed himself off the metal drawer and stood in front of Chan with his arms folded. "You don't seriously expect me to answer that question right? How can I know what's going on over there when I'm right in front of you?"
Chan's brows furrowed as he thought for a while then he shot up from his chair. "You're right," he nodded. "We can't know what's going on when we're here." He then handed his phone to Mingi. "Hold it up for me so I can see if Felix calls"
"Unbelievable" Mingi groaned, rolling his eyes but he still held it up. "What are you planning now?"
