"I know I should keep my distance but it's hard baby" Chan continued as he hugged Felix tighter. "Anytime I see you, I just feel this maddening urge to hold you close to me. I want to feel you. To be beside you at all times. You have no idea how much I suffered without you last night"
Felix scoffed, not believing a word. "Then all the nights I wasn't around, were you suffering then?"
"I was dying" Chan admitted directly. "Little by little, I was dying Felix"
It was pure torture. Those days were akin to hell on earth. Felix could never understand how scared Chan was of losing him.
Felix turned his head and took a good look at Chan, whose complexion was really bad. He looked completely tired out. "Then just tell me the truth and I'll always be by your side. You won't have to suffer anymore. Although I haven't fully recovered my memories, my feelings for you are strong Chan. They have been since the day we met again."
He twisted his body and wrapped his arms around Chan's neck, staring straight into his eyes. "I want to be with you, you know that. So why not tell me everything? What caused our separation? It kills me to have these wide gaps in my mind and knowing wouldn't make love you less than I do now"
Chan's eyes went red with tears for he knew that things would be even worse if Felix knew the truth. But it was something he'd have to accept and try to earn Felix's forgiveness.
"Your cousins are waiting for you downstairs to tell you" he replied, resting his forehead against Felix's and closing his eyes. "I won't stay. After you hear everything, I'll accept whatever you decide. Just know that I really really love you Felix"
Chan's voice was so emotional, filled with so much pain that it made Felix wonder if his past was that bad. "What do you mean by you won't stay? You have to tell me your side of everything"
Chan sighed, his hot breath fanning Felix's lips. It made Felix unconsciously burrow deeper in his arms. "I want to but I can't. Someone's coming and that person won't want to see me. Listen to what they'll say and we'll talk after okay. Promise me that no matter what you hear, no matter what you remember, you'll call me"
That's if Felix still wanted to talk to him.
"But who's coming?" he asked with a frown. "Why won't the person want to see you? And who cares if the person doesn't want to see you? You're with me. You're my boyfriend and this is my home. You can stay here and if the person has a problem with you then they should just deal with it"
Chan couldn't help but smile. This was his Felix. The one who loved and believed in him. Even when everyone was telling him the truth, Felix never believed them. He believed in their love. He believed in Chan.
"I appreciate it baby but the person is very important to you," he said. "I don't want to offend them more than I already have"
"But I want you to stay Chan" Felix argued. "I want you to be with me. I don't care how important the person is to me. You're the one I want"
Chan felt helpless. He really didn't want to refuse Felix especially after hearing those words but that person was really important. Especially to Felix. He leaned close and pressed his forehead to Felix's, feeling distressed. "Please baby don't make me stay. My presence will only make things worse"
Felix didn't get it at all. He just wanted Chan by his side. "Who is this person anyway? Why will your presence affect them? What did you do?"
Chan raised his head and sighed heavily. "I can't say for now. They'll probably tell you so there's no need. Baby just promise that you'll call me okay? Promise me that no matter what you hear, you'll call me and we'll talk"
Felix didn't want to agree. He wanted Chan to stay but seeing the agony in Chan's eyes made him swallow back his words of refusal. "I promise, I'll call you" he finally agreed.
The heavy weight on Chan's heart reduced. He leaned in and kissed Felix, nibbling on his soft lips. Chan didn't know if it would be the last time that they kiss. "Remember that I love you Felix" he murmured. "Remember that you own my heart. I was wrong then. I didn't realise the depth of your love for me. I was so bent on pleasing my father that I hurt you but I truly love you, Felix. I loved you then and I love you even more now. I would do anything for you."
Felix couldn't help but shiver. Chan's words brought tears to his eyes and made his heart race. "I love you too Chan" he whispered. "I don't know how you hurt me. What I know is that you love me a lot. Nothing I hear can change my feelings for you. Whatever happened to us in the past, I'm sure that there's a tangible reason"
There was a reason all right.
Chan just didn't know if it could classify as 'tangible'.
Chan didn't dare take Felix's words to heart. He didn't dare to believe them. Instead, he smiled and deepened the kiss, thrusting his tongue deep into Felix's warm mouth. He tightened his hold on Felix's waist and tasted every inch of his honey-like cavern.
The kiss was so intense that Felix couldn't do anything but keep his head tilted and let Chan take what he wanted. Chan heavily sucked on his tongue and swiped every surface in his mouth. Felix felt lightheaded and completely weak in his knees. His lower body reacted very fast, creating an uncomfortable bulge in his jeans.
Felix could only moan and hang himself on his boyfriend's body as they kissed like there was no tomorrow.
