And he wanted to be the only one.
Always and forever.
His eyes travelled to their joined hands and he felt so grateful to the heavens. To whatever diety took pity on him and decided to bring he and Felix together again. Chan knew that it wasn't over yet. The questions, Felix's memories, nothing was set in stone but he had hope. Hope that at the end of whatever troubles life would throw at him, he and Felix would still end up together.
After all, problems and pain never last forever. There would come a day when their lives would be peaceful and when it comes, they would cherish it well for only they would know what they went through to get it.
When they reached Felix's room, Felix let go of Chan's hand and opened the door. He went in and was about to close the door when he saw Chan following. He quickly blocked the entrance with his body and raised a brow. "What do you think you are doing?"
Chan gazed at Felix, confused. "Didn't you say I'll stay with you?"
At that, Felix snickered. "I only said that to make my dear cousin angry. You can get out now"
"Bu-"
"No buts Chan" Felix cut him off. "You also lied to me and you're not ready to tell me what happened. I'm angry with you and I don't want you anywhere near me for now so you're not sleeping here. Go find somewhere else to sleep"
Chan wasn't expecting that at all. So Felix tricked him too. "Felix please, I won't disturb you. I'll sleep on the floor. Anywhere. It doesn't matter. As long as I can see you then-"
"But I don't want to see you" Felix said, cutting him off once again. "You have broken my trust Chan. I don't know what to think or do. I just need the rest of this night to myself"
Chan really didn't want to be away from Felix but he also wanted to respect Felix's decision so he pushed his hand through the space and grabbed Felix by the neck, bringing their faces close together. "Okay" he whispered over Felix's lips.
Felix's breath hitched and his body heated instantly. He knew precisely how weak he could be to Chan's actions so he tried to move away but Chan's hold on his neck was firm. "Chan, let me go" he whispered back. "Go away"
"I will," Chan replied and Felix felt relieved but it was short-lived for Chan's next words were; "after one kiss"
"Chan..." Felix groaned. He could feel it. His inability to deny Chan of anything he could give.
"Please" Chan begged. Their lips were so close. He could just kiss Felix but he needed Felix's permission. He didn't want things to be like before, when he just lured Felix into doing whatever he wanted. This time, he wanted Felix in control. He would kiss only if Felix was willing. "Just one kiss and I'll leave. I promise"
Felix bit his bottom lip, unsure. "But I'm mad at you..."
"I know" Chan acknowledged. "I know that's why I'm begging you. Felix, let me kiss you just once. I don't think I'll be able to sleep if I don't"
Felix snickered, thinking it was impossible. He thought Chan was just acting cute and helpless but he didn't know that Chan was dead serious.
Chan wanted assurance that Felix's feelings for him were still intact. If not, he'll overthink all night and wake up in a bad mood.
"Baby please" Chan pleaded. "I promise I'll leave after. Just one. Please"
Denying Chan a kiss when he was begging like this seemed too cruel to Felix. Besides, having Chan so close made him want it too. He could feel Chan's minty breath fanning his face and his nostrils were filled Chan's scent, making his resistance soften a bit. "Okay" he consented. "But just o-"
Chan kissed him before he could finish his sentence. The kiss was slow and delicate, as if he was scared of taking too much. He pressed their lips together, swiping his tongue over Felix's lips gently, sucking it in, sinking his teeth into the soft flesh.
The resistance in Felix was thawed away by the sweet kiss and Felix's body softened instantly. Their bodies moved on their own accord, sticking to each other like wet clothes to skin.
Although Felix didn't want to give in, his body and his heart did otherwise. He let Chan hold him tight and kiss him till he became breathless. His heart was fluttering madly and his stomach was doing jumping jacks. He felt all sweet and tingly inside and it was amazing.
The anger he was feeling, the frustration, the pain, everything vanished with that one kiss, leaving him with a soothing feeling. It was as if Chan had washed all his worries away. His mind went completely blank and only the feel of Chan, his scent, his touch, remained.
As for Chan, Felix's reaction to his kiss lessened his anxiety tremendously. His effect on Felix was still present. In fact, it was better than before and that earned him an immense peace of mind.
As promised, it was one kiss. Brief but sweet and healing. Like a harmless wave that just washes up everything at shore.
They sought the remedies of their worries and pain in each other unknowingly and although things weren't clear between them, they knew it would be okay.
Chan reluctantly pulled away then placed one last kiss on the tip of Felix's nose.
"Hey you said one!" Felix grumbled, hurriedly stepping back in case Chan wanted to try anything else.
Chan held the door knob with a sneaky smile. "You should lock the this. I might not be able to keep my promise if you leave it open."
Hearing that, Felix scowled and pushed the door shut, locking it immediately.
Wicked Chan. Wanting a mile after taking an inch.
Felix wasn't aware but there was a wide smile on lips.
