"I'm aware" Mr Han nodded. "That's why I want you to marry Jisung. That way, you can control the empire as well as keep my son in check."

Minho was stunned. "W-What?"

"I know you love my son, Minho" Mr Han chuckled at Minho's flabbergasted expression. "I've seen the way you look at him. The way you take care of him. No one would stay by my crazy son's side his whole life if it wasn't love."

Minho immediately went down on his knees. "I'm sorry sir. I do not deserve-"

Mr Han scoffed. "Oh shut up. Your father was my best friend. Ever since your parents passed away, I raised you as my own son. I have never discriminated between you and Jisung. You know that so don't talk about what you do not deserve. You have every right to succeed me as Jisung does. You know the ways of our business. Our deals, our connections, you know everything. On top of that, you are in love with my son. Instead of making him the heir, why not make you both proper equals by getting you two married? That way, those who do not give you respect because of your background, will not have anything left to say. You will rule alongside Jisung. Okay?"

"B-But what if Jisung refuses? What if he doesn't want to marry me?" Minho asked. He would not deny how elated he was though. Never did he think a day like this would come. A day when his love for Jisumg would be acknowledged and accepted.
Mr Han smiled then patted Minho on the shoulder. "You just leave that to me and start making wedding preparations. Jisung is going to become yours only."

It had been a week. A long agonizing week of being ignored by Felix. It was even worse than physical torture. Chan basically camped outside the Park's residence for the whole week but Felix refused to talk to him or acknowledge his presence.

At night, he would go to Felix's window and beg Felix to listen to him but Felix would only play music and pretend Chan was never there. It drove Chan insane. To the point where he bashed into the house but Felix's mother made their security guards stop him.

It was a huge fight. Chan beat them up and ran upstairs to see Felix but Hyunjin stopped him and said to him; "Give Felix a bit more time will you? He's hurt. You hurt him and he doesn't want to see you for now but I'm sure he'll talk to you when he's ready. Felix loves you and you know that so have a little faith in your relationship. Felix wouldn't want to see you beating up innocent people just to see him."

And Hyunjin was right.

Felix wouldn't want that so Chan backed off, waiting for Felix to be ready.

But waiting was far more agonising than anything else. It felt even worse than the five years he spent without Felix. It was like having your head on a chopping block, not knowing when the knife will come down. Like hanging off a building with just one hand.

Likewise, Chan didn't know the state of his relationship. And he was going crazy.

"You look like the living dead," Mingi said to Chan, handing him a cup of coffee. They were in the Park's garden, facing Felix's window. Although Chan wasn't allowed inside, he was allowed to stay outside.

Chan was sitting on the grass and Mingi sat beside him with a sigh. "You should go and get some sleep. Your eyebags are darker than my suit."

"Not until I see him," Chan said. He took a sip of his coffee. Black. Just the way Felix liked his. He had gotten used to the bitter taste over the years. It wasn't so bad. In fact, that bittersweet taste was kinda addicting.

"You're going to scare him back into hiding the second he sees you like this. You haven't even shaved. You look like a caveman." Mingi said.

Chan knew what he looked like. The last time he had a bath was three days ago. He thought of going back to freshen up but shook his head. "What if I leave and that's when he decides to come out? I'm not taking any chances."

Mingi sighed. Their love was so complicated. Why couldn't Felix just come out and talk about it? Why hide for a whole week?

"What about the business?" Mingi asked. "You have a lot of meetings scheduled. Our clients are getting impatient."

Chan took another sip of his coffee. "Handle them all. You know what to do."

"Oh God," Mingi groaned. "Fine. I'm gonna go or I'll be late. I hope you guys talk soon."

"Thanks, Mingi" Chan nodded. "When things get better, I'll let you have that 6 months vacation you wanted."

Mingi chuckled as he shook his head and then waved Chan goodbye. He truly wished that things get better. If not, they're going to have the version of Chan they had immediately after Felix's death. Just thinking about it gave him goosebumps. He took one last look at Felix's window which was tightly shut with the curtains drawn. He sighed. Felix was too stubborn.

Felix stayed in his room all week. A maid would always deliver his breakfast, lunch and dinner at the appropriate times. No one disturbed him which he was grateful for. He really didn't want to talk to anyone. He browsed the internet for any information on the reason for his death five years ago but only one thing came up. That he died of an overdose.

Felix was sure that he never did drugs but no matter how hard he thought of it, he couldn't remember. He would always get a splitting headache so he decided to just let things be. Maybe remembering wasn't worth it.

None of his videos or pictures were online either. He searched for three days straight but there was nothing. Just normal pictures of him with his parents and friends.
This led him to question how Jisung got the videos and pictures. Did Jisung personally save them to use them against him? But why would he do that? Did Jisung lie to him about everything? Was he angry with Chan for nothing?

But he remembered the incident at the event. He was hurt and betrayed by the person he loved the most. He couldn't just let that go.

He checked the time and date on his phone. 11 am. Sunday.

Was Chan still outside? He didn't think it was possible but he wanted to make sure. He got off his bed and walked to the window then slightly opened the curtain.

Chan was right there, sitting in the grass. He looked like he hadn't slept for days. He was still wearing the same blue shirt and dark jeans he was wearing three days ago. Meaning that he didn't go home. Felix thought that maybe he was too cruel but he was disappointed and angry and he wanted to punish Chan.

Who would be able to expose his lover like that?

"I'm punishing yourself too" Felix murmured, as he watched Chan. "It hurts me to be away from you just as much as it hurts you to be away from me."

At that moment, Chan raised his head and their eyes met.

Felix's heartbeat quickened. He didn't run. He didn't hide. He just stood there, staring at Chan.
