Chapter 87

The bar was a place that many people frequented. It had a serene atmosphere with classic music and the kind of people that went there were all high class.

They entered and took seats in a corner where they wouldn't be disturbed. Jeongin ordered a drink while Felix asked for a glass of water. He was in no mood to drink. All the information he had just acquired where still rumbling around in his mind. He wondered how Chan could still want to be with him despite knowing what his dad. Felix knew that if he were the one in Chan's shoes, he wouldn't even want to look at anyone who shares the same blood as his parent's murderer.

"So...where do I start?" Jeongin asked, feeling extremely nervous. He didn't know if what he was doing was the right thing or not. He just didn't want to be taken away from his family. If things go wrong between Felix and Chan, he knew that Chan would definitely make do of his threats. He just hoped that telling Felix the truth wouldn't cause any adverse effects.

"The very beginning. Tell me everything" Felix replied. "How did you guys meet Chan's sister? How did all this happen?"

Jeongin sighed, pushing back his black locks. "Look, Felix, there are many things that went down in our high school years okay. Rose, Lisa, Jisung and I did many things. Things that I'm ashamed of and-

"I want to know" Felix demanded, cutting him off. "I want to know everything."

"Felix you don't understand" Jeongin said, not knowing how to explain what happened without mentioning Felix's part. After all, everything started when Aera and Felix got together. "It's complicated"

"I don't care. I want to know" Felix insisted, glaring at him.

The waiter came back with a bottle of beer and glass of water which he placed on the table. He asked if they needed anything else but Felix shooed him away.

"How did it all happen? What did we do?" Felix asked. "We all hurt Chan and I feel like I won't be able to fully focus on my future with him if I don't understand the past. Besides, I've recovered some of my memories and I know that we weren't exactly saints. We were the worst bunch of the school so I can understand whatever you tell me. What I'm most afraid of knowing is if I had any part in his sister's death"

Jeongin shook his head. So that was what was disturbing Felix all along. He could understand though. To learn that your parents murdered your lover's parents and then think that you had a hand in his sister's death. It was brutal to the mind. Especially when you hear that your friends were involved. It usually means you're at least 80% involved.

Felix leaned back and lowered his head, twiddling his thumbs. "I won't be able to forgive myself if I did. I can't be the one who takes everything from him, Jeongin. His parents and his sister. My family has caused him too much pain. I can't be with him if that's what truly happened"

"You didn't kill his sister, Felix" Jeongin said. He took a large gulp of his drink, savouring the burn as it went down his throat. "You were in love with her"

Felix jerked up instantly. "I was what?!" he shouted, horrified.

It gained the attention of several people so he quickly apologised and sat back. He leaned over the table towards Jeongin and whisper-yelled; "I was what?!"

"It started in our first year of high school" he began. "Fresh out of Junior High, we were all kinds of crazy. Me, you, Jisung, Rose and Lisa. A group of rich kids who liked to waste money, bully people and do all sorts of shit. It was fun at that time, the way we ruled over everyone in school and how they were all afraid of us. Then, it was thrilling you know. We felt like kings or some shit but we were mean Felix and I when I say that, I mean downright wicked. We didn't care about anybody's feelings. We ruled the school and basked in the misery of others. It was the typical rich kids bully the poor and weak kind of system. We were tyrants and we did all sorts of things. We made people cry, we ruined lives...and Chris's sister was one of them"

He raised his head and met Felix's eyes. "We ruined her, Felix. Permanently"

Felix let out a shaky breath as he sat back silently.

"Her name was Aera" Jeongin continued. "She was so pretty and you were head over heels in love with her. You clung to her side so much that it was annoying but I didn't care." He shrugged.

"To me, she was nothing special. I mean, we were all about money and status then but you didn't care. You bought her everything she wanted, you took care of her. Hell if we were to give anyone a best boyfriend award then it would be you. You were so damn smitten that it was ridiculous"

Felix frowned for he thought hard but he couldn't remember anything like that. He knew he used to be a playboy but he couldn't remember committing to any girl. It even baffled him how he could love anybody but Chan.

Jeongin chuckled as he recalled some funny times. "You know, I actually thought you were playing the girl like you usually did but weeks passed and you hadn't dumped her so we knew that you were already in deep. As I said earlier, I didn't care. You're my bro and if you found love, I had no right to interfere but not everyone thought that way. Especially Lisa and Jennie. Apparently they were crushing on you since middle school and they couldn't accept Aera. They did things to her whenever you weren't around. More than you can imagine but she was a tough girl. She never let them get away with it. She was feisty and to be honest, I think Lisa was scared of her at one point but then, one day, everything changed."

"A video was released. It was sent to the entire student body. Seniors, juniors and even teachers. Every single person who had a phone in that school was sent the video. Even the cleaners and cooks," He paused, looking at Felix's reaction. "It was her sex video."

Felix's eyes widened and he gasped. He could perfectly understand the whole scenario. A young girl, a student's private moment being sent to the entire school.

"Fuck."

He could imagine how Chan must have felt. How Aera must have felt. "What happened next? What did she do? What did I do? What did Chan do?"
