Chapter 7

With that question, it seemed like the wall blocking Taehyun's tears was broken and they spilled down his cheeks. He angled his body away from Beomgyu's sight and let his tears fall freely.

Huening Kai was alarmed and started to panic. "T-Tae... T-Taehyun, are you okay? What's wrong? Was it something I said?"

Taehyun shook his head but his tears poured even harder. Huening Kai was distressed. He quickly made Taehyun get up and they went into the restaurant's bathroom. It was clean and empty so Huening Kai locked the door. Taehyun didn't stop crying so Huening Kai could only hug him and rub soothing circles on his back, ushering him to calm down.

After some time, Taehyun did calm down. He stopped crying and washed his face at the sink but the rim of his eyes and the tip of his nose were red. With the contrast of his platinum blonde hair, Taehyun looked so pitiful. Huening Kai was very worried. "Tae... what happened? Why did you start crying all of a sudden?"

Taehyun sniffed then lowered his head, too ashamed to look at Huening Kai. He had been lying for months and felt very shameful to have to say it out "You know how I've always said that Chris and I are in love and we're very happy together?"

Huening Kai nodded.

"Well, I was lying. I love Chris but I don't think Chris loves me"

"But why do you say so?" Huening Kai asked, confused. "Chris always treats you well"

Taehyun didn't deny it. "He does. But, there's just something different Kai. We may seem like an actual couple in public but the truth is, we hardly talk to each other. I know very little about him and when I ask him for something, he refers me to that annoying secretary of his. He never picks my calls or replies my texts. He always asks Mingi to take care of my needs. The only time he spends with me is when we sleep together or eat together. Sometimes, I feel like I'm the only one in the relationship. Do you understand what I'm saying?"

To be honest, Huening Kai didn't fully understand. To him, Christopher Bang was the perfect boyfriend. He took care of Taehyun very well and was very attentive. He didn't know why Taehyun was saying such things.

Taehyun decided to explain further. "When Chris looks at me, I always feel like he's seeing another person. Like he's physically there with me but his mind isn't. There are times when he's so good to me that I think he loves me but not once had he ever told me he does. When we sleep together, he never wants to look at me. Always looking at my back and he makes me wear a ball gag. It makes me uncomfortable and one time, I complained and refused to wear it. Kai, he didn't touch me for weeks until I agreed to wear it again. Do you think it's normal? We've never even kissed"

Huening Kai was taken aback by that information. Especially the last part. They've never kissed? Doesn't any guy like to kiss their partner? "It's really weird..." he mused.

"I know right!" Taehyun exclaimed. "He's so...so... He's so robotic! And cold! He doesn't even talk about his feelings. He just stares with a blank face all the time. So annoying!"

"Have you tried talking to him about it?" Huening Kai asked. "Communication is the key you know. Try telling him how you feel and see how he reacts to it. For Chris to be with you for almost a year, it's impossible for him to not have any feelings towards you. Maybe it's just hard for him to express it"

Taehyun went silent as he thought. What Huening Kai said actually made sense. He had never really sat down and had a heart to heart conversation with Chan before. Their one year anniversary was getting close. This was the time to pour out everything. "You're right Kai" he said, looking determined. "I'll talk to him and make him share his feelings with me. There's no way he doesn't like me. If not, why will he stay with me for so long? His nature is cold so it's natural that he won't be able to freely talk about his feelings but I'll open the floor for him"

Seeing his best friend being so courageous, Huening Kai couldn't help but encourage him. "That's the spirit! You can definitely do it Tae!". He gave him a cute smile with two thumbs up.

Taehyun couldn't help but laugh. Talking to Huening Kai always made him feel better. They hugged and after Taehyun washed his face again, they went back to finish their breakfast.

Behind the now open bathroom door, Beomgyu smirked, watching Taehyun and Huening Kai walk away. Taehyun had no idea what he was in for. Naturally, as Chan's ex, he already knew what Chan was doing with Taehyun. After all, he had gone through the same thing. Then, he made some mistakes. Chan was angry and kicked him out in a fit of rage. But a year had almost passed and Chan had calmed down. After seeing Taehyun, he knew that Chan had not changed one bit. That person was still on his mind.

Now, Beomgyu's plan was to eliminate Taehyun and get back with Chan. He no longer cared if Chan wanted to doll him up to look like that person or if Chan didn't kiss him. He missed the life of luxury he had with Chan. He missed sleeping on a king sized bed and having a wardrobe full of designer clothes. He missed living in a villa and taking long walks round the beautiful garden. He missed eating quality food.

But most of all, Beomgyu missed having the feeling of Chan's arms around him. He missed being hugged to sleep by Chan. Now, Beomgyu didn't care if Chan saw him as someone else. After all, that person is dead. He was very sure that with time, Chan would come to see only him.

Now, to make Taehyun and Chan break up...

Beomgyu's smirk deepened. That was very easy.
