Felix thought for a while then said; "I had a strong bond with Lisa and Rose. We were very close. Although I had a fling with Rose once, it never went past that." A thought suddenly came to him and he sat up in a panic. "Wait, is that what this is all about? Did I have anything to do with their deaths? Is that the traumatic thing I experienced? Am I the reason they died?"
"What no!" Hyunjin quickly said. "No that's not it. Calm down"
"Are you sure?" Felix asked, not convinced. "I recall when Lisa told me she loves me and tried to convince our parents to get us married." He turned to Mrs Lee. "Mum, Lisa didn't do anything to herself because I rejected her, did she?"
Mrs Lee forced back her tears as she recalled the way Mr Yoongi murdered Lisa and her unborn child. But then, the girl was one of the people that made her son suffer. If Lisa hadn't ruined the relationship between her son and Aera, they'd be perfectly fine now. She stood up and went to sit beside Felix. She gave him a weak smile. "You did nothing, Felix. They didn't die because of you"
"Then Jisung?" Felix asked. "What about him? Am I the reason he left? Where is he right now?"
Everyone noticed that Felix remembered the things that wouldn't cause him any significant harm like the memories of his friends but the bad ones of Aera and Chan were still locked away.
"Those questions will be answered if you can answer one question from me Felix" Dr Anna said, drawing everyone's attention back to her. She took out a picture frame from her bag and held it up for everyone to see. "Do you recognise her, Felix?"
They all tensed as they gazed from the picture to Felix, watching his reaction closely.
Felix looked at the picture of a very beautiful girl. She was wearing a bright yellow summer dress with blue flowers around the neckline which matched her baby-blue eyes. She had waist-length thick brown hair and fair skin. Her smile was so innocent, like a child's and she looked no older than 14 or 15. Sadly, he didn't know who she was.
He shook his head. "I don't know her. Did we go to school together? But then, I can't remember her from any class"
Dr Sarias and Dr Anna shared a look then Dr Sarias sighed. "Well, then I guess you don't need to know about her just yet."
"Is she important?" Felix asked, confused. He was sure that he had never seen her before but there was this feeling he had as if he knew her well.
"All I can say is that for now, knowing anything about her is useless" Dr Sarias answered. She was the start of everything. If Felix can't remember her, then her memories must have been the most painful of all. Reminding him of her may trigger bad memories and they all knew that it would not be good.
"What do you think, Dr Sarias?" Changbin asked. "Is there anything we can tell Felix for now?"
"I still have a few more questions for Felix" Dr Sarias replied. "We'll see from there."
He faced Felix. "So, how did you regain the memories you have now?"
Felix thought for a while then said; "Well, sometimes I have dreams. Sometimes I have these flashes. The flashes usually come with a bad headache"
"Then is there a particular kind of emotion you feel before having these flashes and dreams?" he asked. "It could be joy, anger, sadness, frustration, anything intense"
"I don't know..." Felix answered, biting his lip. "I've never really paid attention. They just come and go. But last night, I was angry with everyone and I had a bad dream. It could be related to my past because I was still sad when I woke up. And it wasn't a simple kind of sadness. It was somewhat devastating. I felt like I had lost somebody important"
"Can you tell us about this dream?" Dr Anna asked.
Felix hesitated as he glanced around the room. Did they want him to say it in front of everyone?
"It's okay honey," Mrs Lee said as she soothingly rubbed his back. "We're all here for you"
No matter how much he denied it, there was comfort in his mother's touch and it made him feel better.
Felix didn't understand how everything changed. He was supposed to be the one asking the questions not them. How did they manage to twist everything?
Everyone kept staring at him, waiting for him to speak so he sighed. "Ok fine. I was just upset with you guys so don't go misinterpreting the dream. It shouldn't mean much anyway"
Jimin gave him a reassuring smile. "Trust us, Felix. We won't"
Seonghwa nodded. "We just want what's best for you."
Their words made Felix feel better so he started to narrate his dream. "Uh...I can't remember everything now but what is stuck in my head is that I was at a funeral. But I don't know whose. I was beside a coffin, crying. No, more like, bawling my eyes out. I was inconsolable and the pain felt so real." His hand went to his chest and he lightly squeezed the part housing his heart. "As if I had actually witnessed the person's death. It felt like the person was very close to me and I was being torn from within. But I don't know who"
Dr Sarias rubbed his chin, thinking. "Is there anything else? Can you describe your surroundings in the dream?"
"I was in a building. A church I guess. I'm not sure but it seemed like a church. There were very few people in it. It seemed as if no one liked the person that passed away or maybe the person didn't know many people. There were red roses around the coffin and a picture frame but I couldn't see the picture of the person. Every time I tried, things get blurry in my head. The person must have meant a lot to me that's why I cried so much and when I woke up, there was this heaviness in my heart that didn't leave. Was it Lisa's or Rose's funeral? They're the only ones who are gone and I know I'll cry for like that. But then, they knew a lot of people and I didn't even see their parents there. Though I know you can't expect to see everyone in a dream."
The living room became gravely quiet and Felix quickly realised something. "It wasn't just a dream, was it?" he asked. "It happened right? Who was it? Who did I dream about?"
He looked at Seonghwa who shrugged. "I have no idea, Felix. In fact, Jimin hyung and I don't know much about your life before you started living with us. We stay abroad remember?"
Felix thought it made sense and then turned to Changbin and Hyunjin. "But you two do, right? You know the person I dreamt about"
