"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Seonghwa shouted at Felix who was standing beside Chan. "Do you have any idea how worried I was? How worried we all were? It's almost 2 in the fucking morning! Where did you go? Why weren't you answering your phone? What even made you stay out this late? Why didn't you call any of us?"
Felix stared at his cousin, irritated. "If you guys were even the least bit worried about me, you would have told me the truth"
They all tensed. Each person had one question in their mind. 'Did Felix really learn the truth?'
But then, they looked at Chan who was silently standing beside Felix and they rescinded the thought. Felix wouldn't be with Chan if he really knew the truth. Unless he was that desperate for Chan's love.
Felix wasn't bothered about how worried he made them. They deserved it and more for lying to him all these years.
The next words Seonghwa wanted to say were stuck in his throat. He never thought he would see such a look of anger on Felix's face.
Only Jimin moved forward in his wheelchair. He was anxious as well but he knew that they had to solve this matter if they wanted to move on.
"The truth about what?" Jimin asked, watching Felix cautiously.
Felix scoffed. "You're still asking? Isn't it obvious? For five years, five whole years, you guys have lied to me. About my family, my friends, Chan, and even myself. What are you guys trying to hide? What is so bad that I can't know? Why did you guys lie to me? Do you have any idea how much I love and trust you guys?"
"Felix, we never lied to you," Jimin said. "We just hid the truth from you. There's a difference"
"There's no fucking difference!" Felix suddenly shouted. The fact that they were not admitting it made him angry. "I understand you guys not saying anything if I didn't ask any questions but I did. I asked you guys many times if I knew Chan before but you all said no. Isn't that lying?! What about the accident? That was a lie too! The coma was also a lie! Everything were just lies! You liars! You're all liars!"
They were all startled to see this side of Felix. In the five years that they've stayed together, they had never seen him so furious. Sure he could be angry at times but not to the point of yelling like this.
He almost seemed like his old self.
Chan didn't like to see Felix so angry but he didn't interfere, knowing that Felix had to vent his anger. If not, he'll keep it bottled up in his heart till he explodes.
And that explosion would be disastrous because Felix would say things he didn't mean and hurt everyone around him.
"Felix, relax okay," Seonghwa said. "Let's talk about this calmly. We can clear things up. Let us explain everything to you"
"Oh, now you're ready to explain," Felix said, laughing sarcastically. "So now that I already know the truth, you're willing to talk. Do you even have any idea how hurt I am? The people closest to me kept important information from me and left me disturbed. You have no idea what kind of thoughts kept running through my mind. The crazy notions I came up with"
He turned to Jimin, feeling betrayed by him the most. He couldn't stop the tears from falling as what they did really hurt him. "And you, I even told you about my dreams. I told you about the little flashbacks I've been having and instead of you to tell me the truth, you proposed to go back to the US. What were you trying to hide so badly? All of you? I'm not some fragile thing. I'm not going to break. How do you expect me to trust you now? How do you expect me to believe anything that you guys say?"
"Whether or not you believe us isn't my problem," Seonghwa said. Everyone turned to him, alarmed. He was going to make matters worse. "My problem is the way you're talking to us. Your mother entrusted us with the task of taking care of you and we have been doing it to the best of our abilities. Or can you deny that? These five years, is there nothing you wanted that we didn't give you? The love, the attention, the respect, the feeling of family, a new life. Didn't we give them to you? Can you deny that?"
Felix went silent as he wiped his tears with the back of his hand. He had no words to refute. If it were all those things, they were better to him than his own family.
"You were such an intolerable brat you know" he continued. "I've despised you since we were kids. You were so full of yourself and infuriating. You carried yourself around like some prince and you never had any respect for anyone. Just because your parents were rich, you did anything you wanted and I really hated that about you"
Felix was dumbfounded. He stared at Seonghwa, eyes wide for he never knew his cousin held such feelings.
Seonghwa saw the pain in Felix's eyes and his heart softened instantly for he realised he was being too harsh. But he really needed Felix to see the error of his ways. "But then you lost your memories. At first, when aunty brought you to us, I was very reluctant to take you in but Jimin hyung said to give you a chance. That staying with us might make you a better person and look at you. You're even better than we hoped you to be. It was hard at the beginning because you were really irrational but then you changed. For the better and I love you, Felix. You're the best little brother ever and we never intended to hurt you. With all that as proof, can you really deny our love for you and say you can't trust us?"
Stupefied with all the information, Felix remained silent.
"Answer me, Felix" Seonghwa demanded. "Can you?"
