Chapter 102

After helping Felix wash and dress up, Chan made him breakfast then left with Mingi who stayed in the car the whole time.

Being alone in the huge house was boring so he decided to watch a show for some time then cook lunch before Chan gets back. He settled himself on the couch with a bag of sweet potato chips then turned on the TV. Some kind of martial arts Chinese movie was playing so he decided to just watch it.

At that point, his phone started ringing.

It was on the glass coffee table in front of him so he just stretched and picked it up. The caller ID said Hyunjin. Felix suddenly felt guilty for leaving without informing anyone. He knew he was going to get scolded. With a deep sigh, he answered.

"You little rascal" Hyunjin greeted in a happy tone. "You ran off and seduced my best friend. How could you?"

Felix couldn't help but laugh. If anyone seduced anyone then Chan seduced him. "How did you know I'm with Chan? I thought you called to scold me."

"Oh honey" Hyunjin cooed. "Your boyfriend is more thoughtful than you are. While we were all panicking yesterday, he sent Mingi to tell us that you were with him."

"Ohhhh"

"Don't ohhhh me you brat. You left us all worried yesterday. Especially your mum. She swore to turn our country upside down if you weren't found. She was ready to go to the police. "

Felix sighed, feeling even more guilty. "Is she close?"

"No. She's sleeping but you better call her later. She nearly had a heart attack when she heard you were sleeping with Chan"

"Dude don't phrase it like that" Felix chuckled. "We slept together but not like that."

Hyunjin hummed like he didn't believe it. "Yeah right. Like Chan will ever be that patient."

"He actually was" Felix commended. "Chan is really sweet. I'm so comfortable here."

"Yeah. Like we don't treat you right" he heard Seonghwa say in the background.

"Shut up he'll hear you" Jimin said.

"Hey am I on speaker?" he asked, surprised.

"Yep" Hyunjin answered, laughing. "Your brothers are so mad at you that they don't want to call you themselves but then they love you so much they made me put you on speaker so they could know if you're fine."

"Hyunjin!" Seonghwa shouted and Hyunjin laughed harder. "What? It's true! Hey Felix, do you know that your darling brother Seonghwa couldn't sleep last night? He kept saying his hard grown product is being eaten by a rabid wolf."

Felix burst out laughing. "What's that even supposed to mean?"

"It means that Chan is the rabid wolf and you're-"

There was a small scuffle on the other side. Felix could hear Seonghwa yelling while Hyunjin was running.

"Felix! Help!" Hyunjin shouted. "Your brother is insane!"

"Go to Changbin. He'll protect you" Felix suggested, laughing.

"Binnie left for work early this morning" Hyunjin said in a sad tone. He ran some more then Felix heard the sound of a door slam. "I just shut myself in the bathroom. I'm safe for now."

Hyunjin was panting while Felix kept laughing. He knew how overprotective his brothers could get.

"Don't worry. I'll call them after we finish talking."

"Don't forget to call Binnie too." Hyunjin reminded. "I wonder what kind of work he and Chris have to do. Today is Saturday you know. We're supposed to be having fun."

"He's with Chan?" Felix asked, surprised. 

"Yeah. He mentioned something about an assault. I don't know. I'll hear the deets when he comes back. Make sure you ask Chris too so we can gossip about it."

"Alright then" Felix chuckled.

"So when are you coming back?" Hyunjin asked. "We should plan a double date you know. Oh and the wedding is in a few months. There are so many things we have to do."

Felix wasn't sure he wanted to go back just yet. It was just one night and he didn't want to leave. "We'll talk about that when Chan comes back. I'll have to discuss it with him."

Hyunjin laughed. "Acting like a proper wife now."

"Hey I'm just being respectful to my boyfriend's feelings" Felix corrected but it felt nice. "I'm being a good partner."

"Whatever you say, Mr Bang Felix" Hyunjin teased and they both burst out laughing. "Damn I'm so happy for you."

Felix smiled as he thought of Chan. "I'm happy too."

Hyunjin then remembered something and his tone went serious. "Jeongin said you two talked. He said he told you everything."

Felix recalled his conversation with Jeongin then sighed deeply. "Yeah. It's a lot to take in you know. I mean, I can't believe I dated Chan's sister."

"Not blood sister though." Hyunjin quickly put in. "I hope you know that. Chan's current father adopted him. His own parents are...you know."

"Yeah" Felix answered softly. "I kinda remember something like that. I just...well, it's still a lot. I can't remember her. I can't even remember her face but when I think of her and all the things Jeongin told me happened to her, there's this sad feeling I get. No it's way worse than sadness. It's like, this unbearable pain and it just ruins my entire mood. I don't know why I feel this way."

"She was important to you Felix." Hyunjin said to him. "Even if your mind can't remember, I guess your heart does. You truly loved her."

Felix laid back on the couch and sighed once again. "I just wish I could remember. I hate this feeling but there's nothing I can do about it I guess. Chan and I talked last night. We've decided to leave everything in the past and start afresh. No more lies or secrets. I'm letting go of my obsession to know about the past too. I don't think it will do me any good anyway. Everything I hear makes me wish I never asked in the first place."

"Speaking like an adult now" Hyunjin teased. "But I'm really glad you're letting this go Felix. You must have forgotten about her for a reason. I know it's hard to let go but pushing it won't be good for your mental health. Believe me, you went through a lot in the past to get to where you are now. Don't let it all go to waste. Chan is sincere about you. Just be happy okay? That's all we want."

Felix felt so grateful to have a friend like Hyunjin who truly cares about him. "Thank you Hyunjin. I'm really happy."

"That's good." Hyunjin replied in a light tone. "Alright I'll let you rest. You must be exhausted after all. I know Chan has excellent stamina."
