Chapter 39

Park Jimin and Park Seonghwa were undoubtedly shocked to see Chan in their home, at their dining table, wearing a smile that looked nothing but creepy to them. The brothers shared a confused but wary look. When Felix told them that Changbin was bringing a guest, they never thought it would be Christopher Bang!

Their eyes flew to Changbin for answers and Changbin just shrugged. "What did you expect me to do? He figured it out on his own"

That meant he already knew their secret. Seonghwa and Jimin felt helpless. Wasn't it a day before that they were telling Jeongin that they would not interfere in Felix's love life? That they would never take the initiative to let Chan know that Felix was alive but that if Chan gets to know, they would accept things as they are?

Well, they never expected things to move so fast!

Jimin felt uncomfortable. If he had known the guest was Chan, he would have postponed the dinner until they had thought things through and truly accepted it. This... This was really too fast.

Another person who was thoroughly shocked, was Hwang Hyunjin. He had told Changbin to strictly interrogate Chan not help him see Felix. If he had known that things would come to this, he would have postponed the meeting with the mayor's daughter who was getting married soon and wanted a wedding gown. He should have known that Changbin would be soft hearted.

After all, Changbin was closer to Chan than he was. Those two were already best friends since they were kids. Hyunjin came into the picture in middle school and then all three made it to this day together. Well, with little gaps in between.

Since Hyunjin was angry. He didn't sit beside Changbin. Instead, he sat directly across him so he could glare at him with all his might.

Changbin sighed as he received death glares from Hyunjin. He had tried to explain what happened with Chan but Hyunjin refused to listen. The thing was, Hyunjin didn't know Chan like Changbin did. Changbin could tell with a glance that Chan meant every single word that came out of his mouth. There wasn't any need to make him suffer more.

But Changbin also understood that Hyunjin loves Felix like his own little brother. He was very protective of Felix and he didn't want Felix to go through any pain or another round of betrayal. Hell he also didn't want Felix to be harmed but he knew that this time, Chan was serious. Chan would not hurt Felix. No matter what.

The rest just needed time to see it too.

Soon, they would all believe that Chan had truly changed.

"Welcome to our home, President Bang" Park Jimin said with a shaky smile.

"Thank you, Mr Park" Chan replied with a gentle smile. "It's a very nice place"

"We had no idea it was you Dr Seo invited for dinner tonight" Park Seonghwa said. "Are you here to discuss the project? Construction has already begun. I'm sure you had seen it yourself the day you came to the site. Within 6 months, we'll have the building ready then you can install all the gadgets necessary. There's no problem at all"

Chan already knew what information Seonghwa was trying to get. His purpose for coming to dinner. If it was really to discuss the project, he would have just sent Seonghwa a message through his secretary, Hoongjoong. And then they would schedule a meeting.

Going directly to their home meant it was a personal visit not business.

Well, Chan didn't intend to hide it. He cleared his throat. "I'm here to apologise to your youngest brother"

The Park brothers felt their hearts jump to their throats.

"He was the reason I was admitted into a hospital but as you can all see, I'm fine" he said. "However, your youngest brother came to apologise to me for causing the accident but I said some inappropriate things that scared him off. I came to make amends"

Seonghwa and Jimin were at a loss. Chan's words didn't say if he knew Felix's identity already. And they also didn't say that he didn't. Changbin said Chan had figured it out but what exactly did Chan figure out? They wondered if Felix was wearing a mask when he went to see Chan.

But then, Felix's cold was already gone...

The door to the dining room swung open and three people walked in. Felix came in carrying JJ while Jeongin was sulking at the back.

Everyone froze while Chan's heart skipped a beat.

Chan knew, he knew that Felix was alive. He had seen him himself. He had even hugged him. But seeing him again now gave him a different feeling. As if he was seeing him for the very first time. He suddenly felt so excited that his body was practically vibrating on his seat.

Felix looked extra dashing and simply elegant tonight. He was dressed in a pure white turtle neck sweater and a pair of long blue jeans, creating this image of an angel. His silky brown hair was pulled into a loose ponytail with a few strands straying around his forehead and upper cheeks, giving him this innocent look that made Chan want to hug him and protect him from all evil in the world.

Coupled with the kid in his arms, Felix looked like a very young beautiful father and Chan's heart throbbed. A family.... A family with Felix. Chan could clearly see it. His eyes watered but he held the tears at bay. What he would give to have a family with Felix.

The room was strangely quiet which made Felix stop playing with JJ and look up, confused. But his confusion soon washed away when his eyes met dark smoldering ones and his heart skipped a beat. Felix quickly put two and two together and he gave a friendly smile.

The guest Changbin had mentioned was Chan! Felix was very happy. Since he knew of Chan's condition, it was the perfect time to apologise and offer some words of advice to Chan but before he could say a word, Chan stood up and walked towards him.

Felix felt his mouth go dry. Chan was the perfect description of an Adonis. He was tall, ripped and handsome, exuding a special kind of charm and reeking of sex appeal. Chan was dressed in a pair of black pants and black shirt which he had tucked in. It made him look smart and in control. The shirt did nothing to hide the big pecs and abs, leading to a lean waist. The sleeves were pushed back to reveal strong arms which Felix had felt around him many times. 

It was as if he could feel it again. Around his waist, holding him tight.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" Jeongin growled, moving to stand in front of Felix and JJ, effectively blocking Chan from talking to Felix. He stared Chan right in the eyes. "After what you did, you still have the audacity to show your face in front of us? Just how shameless are you?"
