Chapter 135

"Baby, listen," he said as she approached him but he never got to continue as Aera landed a hard ear-ringing slap to his cheek.

His head whipped to the side with so much force that his neck hurt.

"Fuck" Jeongin whispered but it was loud for the class was pin-drop silent.

Felix understood how she must be feeling. No girl would be rational after such a thing so he was patient. He didn't want to upset her further.

"How could you?" she asked, staring at Felix, utterly shattered by the betrayal. He had broken her heart. "How could you do such a thing to me? If you were already bored of me, you could have just said so. Why put something like that on the Internet? Did you even think of the way it would ruin my life? What will my parents think when they see it? How will I be seen in the entire school? How will I face people when I go out? Why did you have to ruin my life like this?"

Wait what?

Felix was stunned. How could she think it was him? How could she come to such a conclusion easily?

"How could I do- wait what are you saying?" Felix asked, dumbfounded. "I did this to you? This?"

He held up his phone which was still playing the video, completely lost for words. He couldn't believe she was blaming him. How could she ever think he would do such a thing? Did she believe his love for her was so shallow?

Aera smacked the phone out of his hand and jerked him by the collar of his uniform. The phone fell to the floor with a loud CRACK, the screen shattering into a thousand pieces, just the way Felix's heart felt for his girlfriend was accusing him of doing such a thing.

"I can't believe this Felix. To think I loved you and trusted you." Aera was livid and it was clear she would not believe anything Felix said. "How could you do this to me? Was that all you saw me as? A challenge? Even after so many months, after everything, you haven't changed at all. You're still a complete heartless douchebag."

Felix shook his head, his eyes filling with tears. It was one thing for her to be angry and hit him in front of everyone but it was another to accuse him of sending out the video.

"What are you saying Aera? Just listen to yourself." He covered her hands with his own, gently rubbing her skin as he looked into her wet eyes. "How can you say such things? How can you believe that I'd do that to you? You of all people should know how much I love you."

"Yeah," Aera scoffed. "Or how good you are at acting."

Felix's heart broke further with her words. "I wasn't acting." He tried to convince her. "I wasn't acting then and I'm not acting now. I love you Aera and I'll never do anything to harm you. My actions should have proved this already. After everything, do you think I'll really do this?"

"Then who did it? Who took the video?"

"I don't know but I promise you, I'll find out and whoever it is will be punished."

Aera laughed bitterly, shaking her head. Punishing whoever did it wasn't her concern. The damage had already been done. She couldn't ever take it back. She released Felix's collar, sniffling. "Then answer this Felix. You say you didn't do it so why were you blurred in the video? You know it was you. You know everything so why were you blurred?" Her voice was low as she stared at Felix with a little bit of hope. She wanted to believe he didn't do it.

But Felix didn't have an answer to that question. He lowered his head, not knowing what to say. He really didn't know why he was blurred. Whoever did it wanted to cause a problem in their relationship.

The tiny hope in Aera's eyes was immediately snuffed out and she shook her head, completely heartbroken and disappointed. "You've gotten what you wanted right, Felix? You've won the challenge. You've gotten the girl to sleep with you."

"But I didn't do it Aera" Felix insisted. "I don't know how I can prove it to you but it wasn't me. I love you."

Aera scoffed. "Bullshit. Just, stay away from me from now on okay? I never want to see you again."

"Aera wait," Felix said as he held her hand, trying to make her stay. "Please listen to me. I didn't do it. I would never hurt you. I love you Aera. You know that."

"I don't know why you're the one begging when she's the one that cheated on you," Jeongin said, standing up. "Let her go man. You deserve better."

A couple of people in the class agreed. Calling Aera a cheater and a whore.

Lisa smiled as she walked towards Felix, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Whoever sent the video did you a good thing Lixie. Now you know the kind of girl you're dating." She gave Aera a nasty look, like she was looking down on her.

Felix quickly understood that his friends didn't know he was the one in the video. He wanted to make things right. There was no way he would make Aera suffer any injustice. "You guys are mistaken," he said. "She never cheated on me. The guy in the vi-"

"Felix I think we should talk about this in private," Jisung spoke up. He walked towards them and held Felix's hand. "Your issues shouldn't have to be discussed in front of the entire class. Let's go somewhere else."

He then turned to Aera. "I know you're upset about everything but you should give Felix the benefit of the doubt okay? There has been nothing that Felix hasn't done for you. He has been the perfect boyfriend and you always come first to him so please, give him a chance to explain."

But Aera wasn't ready to listen. She was too hurt. Something that was supposed to be private had already been exposed. They couldn't take it back no matter how much they wanted to. "I really can't deal with this right now. I just want to go home."

Jisung turned back to Felix. "You know what man, maybe you should just give her some time to calm down okay? I'll take her home."

He took out his phone and gave it to Felix. "Call Minho. He'll help you sort this shit out okay. We'll definitely find the person who did this."

Felix took another look at Aera who didn't even want to be near him. He sighed and collected the phone. "Okay. Take care of her for me alright?"

Jisung patted Felix on the shoulder. "Dude you know I will."

With that, Aera left the class with Jisung and Felix went out to call Minho. They had to deal with everything immediately.
