Memories flooded his brain as he walked across the field of his former school. They poured in like a tsunami, each one overlapping the other, but at the same time, they were crystal clear.
He could remember the day he sat on the bleachers with Jeongin, watching Chan run with other students during P.E. It was during his confused phase. At that time, he didn't know if he liked Chan or not.
He could remember watching Lisa, Rose, and Jennie practise their cheer. Rose used to be so awful, but no one could kick her off the team because of her status.
He could remember watching Jisung and Jeongin playing basketball, waiting for them to finish so they could all go home together.
He could remember spending his lunch time under a certain tree with someone. Someone special. He couldn't recall the person's face, but he knew it in his heart that the person was special.
Must have been the Aera that Jeongin talked about.
That familiar bittersweet pangs only came when he recalled memories she was supposed to be in. He really wished he could remember her face. Or any other details.
He shook his head, his brown locks flying with the wind. This wasn't what he was supposed to concentrate on. He gazed in the direction of the abandoned building and then marched on with determination. He must get to the bottom of things.
He wondered who could have sent him such incriminating pictures. How did the person even get them? They were clearly taken before he lost his memories, so the person must have known him before. Felix wondered if the person was someone he had offended in the past. Well, whoever the person was and whatever the person wanted, he didn't care. It would not be more than money anyway. He just needed to make sure the pictures were completely destroyed.
But how wrong he was.
"You came! You really came!" Felix heard a young man say excitedly the second he stepped into the abandoned building.
The place wasn't as he remembered. It used to be filled with unused chairs and tables with lots of dust and cobwebs, but the ground floor was cleared. There was only one chair which the strange man occupied.
The guy looked a bit short with bright white hair and very red lips. Felix guessed he was wearing lipstick. He was dressed in black designer clothes with a white fur coat draped over his shoulders. The guy was really pretty, and Felix could swear that he looked like himself. Especially with the bleached hair.
"I can't believe you really came!" the guy squealed, jumping up the chair. He rushed towards Felix and then paused when he was just a feet away. "Hi, my name is Beomgyu, but you can call me Beom."
Felix frowned, unsure if the guy was sane. He sent him nude pictures as blackmail and here he was acting as if they were friends.
"You were hard to convince you know," Beomgyu pouted slightly. "It's all your fault that we had to use extreme methods to draw you out."
Felix was throughly confused. "Wait, we?" So it wasn't just him.
Beomgyu gasped, then covered his mouth with his palm. "Oops," he giggled slightly. "My bad. It's me. It's just me."
Felix didn't buy it at all. He was sure the other person or other people were lurking around somewhere. Wearing a stern expression, he stepped up and jerked the man by the collar. "Who are you, and what do you want from me?"
"Whoa, straight to the point, aren't we?" he chuckled. "Calm down. What's the rush? Let's get to know each other a little bit."
"You send me things like that, and you ask me what's the rush?" Felix asked, enraged. The way the man acted so nonchalantly angered him. How could anyone joke with such a thing? "I don't want to play any fucking games with you. Let's settle this immediately."
"Relax Felix," Beomgyu urged. "They're your nudes after all. It's not like I sent them to anyone else."
Felix tightened his hold on the Beomgyu's collar. "Do I look like I'm in the mood for your jokes?"
Seeing as Felix was dead serious, the Beomgyu decided to stop playing. He met Felix's eyes straight on and voiced his demand. "I want Chris. That's what it will take for me to erase the files."
Stunned, Felix's hold on his collar loosened and he quickly freed himself.
The demand was so absurd that Felix couldn't help but laugh. "W-What did you just say? Felix wheezed. "You? You want Chan?"
Hearing Felix call Chris 'Chan' made the Beomgyu's blood boil. In the past, he had tried so many times to get Chris to let him use the name 'Chan' because it seemed more intimate but Chris refused. He more like forbade it but here was Felix, calling 'Chan' like it he owned it and he could use it however he wanted.
Beomgyu thought he had the upper hand. He didn't know how Felix could be in such a situation and still laugh. He felt somewhat stupid and angry. "Do you think this is a joke? I'm serious. I want Chris."
Felix finally stopped laughing. He wiped away the tears at the corners of his eyes then folded his arms, staring at the guy with pity. "So you went through all this trouble of threatening me just to give you Chan?" He scoffed. "Why are you so stupid? Chan is not an object that I can just hand over to you. He's a human being. He has what we call feelings okay. If you want him, why don't you try and get him instead of using such underhanded methods?"
"Do you think I haven't tried?" Beomgyu seethed. "I have done everything I can to make him mine! Everything! But you just had to come back from the dead and ruin everything for me. What sort of person are you? Me and Chris were just fine before you came! Why did you come back? Why?!"
"Me coming back doesn't matter okay" Felix stated. "I'm sorry to say this but someone has to tell you the truth. If Chan truly loved you, he would not leave you regardless of me being in his life. He would stick with you but since he left you, it just means he never loved you in the first place."
Beomgyu knew. He knew that Chan had no feelings for him but he enjoyed their time together. He enjoyed the luxuries, the trips, the fancy clothes and fancy food. Chan gave him whatever he asked for. All he did was make a little mistake and Chan never forgave him for that. Then he was replaced by some cheap imitation of Felix and now, the real Felix was back. He knew that if he didn't resort to such means, he would never get that sweet life back.
He took a deep breath, silently urging himself to remain cool. He couldn't let Felix rile him up or the plan won't work.
