"Listen to this." I passed my brand new pair of headphones to Rhea who was sitting beside me. While waiting for the flight, I bought myself a pair of headphones, like Rheas but in white. So now I've been testing them out for half the plane ride, asking Rhea to listen to this song through them.

I'd already asked her 4 times, making her listen to my favourite songs, and the 5th time I did it, she gave me a mean eye. So I put them back on my head and relaxed.

But that wasn't the only thing I bought while we were waiting. I pulled my strawberry lollipop from my purse, unwrapping it, failing at being quiet.

Rhea watched me struggle, finding it amusing or annoying, I really didn't know. "You're seriously eating it? I thought you chucked it out." Rhea said.

"Of course I'm eating it." I told her like she was silly. Finally getting the wrapper off, I stuck it in my mouth, holding the stick as I tasted the sweetness. "Want a lick, Rhea?" I whispered as I saw her watching me.

Rhea rolled her eyes. "Fucking child." She muttered.

I was in a joyous mood for only getting chased and possibly murdered a few hours ago. Jon, really really did cheer me up. Rhea has been the one in a mood ever since. Even on the plane, where it was a pretty quiet flight, she had this death grip hand on my thigh. It was easing my pain nonetheless.

"Rhea." I got her attention by leaning in, feeling extra extra annoying right now. I pulled the lollipop from my mouth to hold it.

"What?" She snapped, quicker and a lot meaner than usual. I opened my mouth in shock. This caused Rheas angry face to fall. "I'm not apologising." She then said, widening her eyes.

I crossed my arms and sat back in my seat. "Don't worry."

Rhea full turned to me. "Tell me, Flo." I turned my head, indeed like a child would. "Florence." She said with a huff. "Do I need to bend you over the seat?" She whispered in my ear.

I turned around to face her, not wanting a repeat of the other day on the plane. I was about to talk when something must have springed to Rheas head because she looked down at my lap. "What?" I asked.

"Are your marks from last night ok?" She whispered, touching the end of my white bike shorts. I was going to wear a skirt, but had to go for the long shorts because of the red marks on there. "Can I see them?"

I pushed her hand away. "We're around people."

"I don't care, Flo. I didn't- I was meant to help you with it." She said.

Quickly, my happy mood turned a bit sour remembering what happened last night. How she left me at her house, and didn't come back.

Rhea grabbed my hand and pushed her fingers through mine, interlocking it. She was so warm. "I hate having to keep apologise to you, Flo. But here it is again..."

I faced her better. "Don't worry about it." I tried to make her feel better. She genuinely felt sorry and guilty about it.

"No, let me do it." Rhea blinked. "I need to- I want to try and do it right."

I nodded and I let her gather herself up. Starting to whisper her apology to me. "I told you before that I'm not- good enough for you." She started, but I squinted at her, not agreeing. But I let her continue. "I keep... I keep proving that right when I fuck up. I fucked up again, and I'm so sorry, Flo."

My eyes stung.

"I can't..." Rhea had to take a minute to get her breath back. "I can't talk about it." Her voice cracked as she looked down.

She looked like she could break down at any time.

I held her hands tighter, smiling at her. "I know." I told her.
