26 April 2024 - Anime Fest at TGM

Yesterday night was very cold. but it doesn't matter.
It's the day that Anime Fest begins in the mall I regularly go, Looks like thinsg are very lively there. My friends, some circle groups are there early this morning. Even shared the leaflets at the group chat that included me. Sam bought a plushie and YY is there early just to play.

I decided, I will go early as just afternoon. Not because of arcade but also the Anime Fest itself, there's bound to be merchant I want to see and cosplay sights to see. There will be Entry Fee ticket for RM 25 today's Anime Fest but will be 35 in later days so maybe it's good to check it early, Dressed up, all good, time to head out. Today's at 1:37pm the street are really lively. Traffic jam expected.

One day for RM 191.... Allow me to summarize the day today, Specifically, The first day of Anime Fest in the mall I usually go to, Which is Tropicana Gardens Mall.Yes, there's "Anime Fest Plus" event going on at the mall. Which is essentially the first day going on.Met Sam, my gaming in real life friend. Guide me and walk through the fest together as well as the merchandises. Seeing figures, stickers, keychains etc. etc. I also bought a keychain for him, Freiren keychain If i remember. Eventually bought myself Nightcord at 25's Hatsune Miku prize figure for RM 111. Which hurts my wallet but at same time I am satisifed, Later by the time we met with bunch of familiar arcade buddy at the arcade. And I went insane to play RM 30 credits today. Oh boy. Thank god I am putting the credits on my YouTube revenue income. and not destroy myself.

The best thing about it? I did not regret it even though it kinda hurts my wallet, but it's better off than throwing money on arcade as such, it was a day where I should be working on assignments but eventually just enjoyed and let myself go.Earlier this afternoon I met the entrance gate. That indicates I need a ticket. Turns out the exhibition I mean the fest not only covers the central of the mall, but also various different places. But the majority covers in 4th floor. and a lone Ticket booth at 2nd floor. In which I encountered Sam, my gamer friend I met at arcade. He guided me and introduced around the places of the fest. With guidance from leaflet itself.The fest itself concludes 3 day, which I can buy 3 day pass or seperated one of the 3 days. The ticket works as the paper that wrap around your wrist. So you can leave and come back later infinite times during the day.

There's an activity which is stamps. Where if you can get all 5 stamps on your leaflet from various of places you can get a free reward. Which Sam helped me and guide to it.The first one is hiding far out at 2nd floor pillers. second one hides within the central merchandise market itself which requires ticket for entry. Third one is hidden at basement parking bottom floor. The elevators is severely occupied by alot of people only just want to get the stamps. They go all the way up and all the way down. And everytime it's full of people. So we occasionally take th e stairs.... and the last one is at 4th floor. Which is also the place where if you get all stamps and get free reward "counter". Sadly all the free rewards is already out for today. Must be alot of people coming of it this morning and it's only afternoon.

But I am still happy despite it. Sam carried me throughout the way, But he already got here since the morning with merchant bought in plastic bag in his hand and he really likes it.

At the central floor. It's where all the small and affordable merchandise take places. Stuff like stickers, art handbook, art stand, keychains, wallpapers, paper banners, accersories, cards All there, Majority of design came for Hololives, Genshin Impact, Honkai, Bocchi The Rock,Frieren, Pokemons etc etc. Project Sekai, Metal Gear a rare gems.

Me and Sam came across a Frieren keychain which he is very interested and cost RM 15, without hesistation I bought one for him. Since my wallet is okay so a little gift won't hurt. He liked it although he had been shopping alot of keychain and now hanging on his shoulder bag alot. We came across plenty of cosplayers as well. I must say it's pretty crowded but not as much as the last Genshin Impact Event. And there's suggestive merchandise as well. Like Mousepad with breast and even Loli in suggestive clothing although it only appear in that one only stall I saw. And there's funny one, Is Bocchi The Rock stickers. yes there's plenty of stickers that are made in various materials. And all merchandise here cost from RM 5 - 100. Keeping it good for anyone who wanna purchase a gift. And almost forget there's T-Shirt too. Which cost RM 77. I want one but keeping that as option as next time I come back I will decide. It's probably smart to buy the stuff only on way back since carrying valuable and bought stuff early on is a mistake and bit annoying later.

Only few caught my eyes, Bocchi The Rock Fluffy doll, BTR stickers, and Hatsune Miku? Yeah, I been interested in Vocaloids / Virtual Singers one but they don't appear too much. Other than a art book or banner wallpaper. They don't appear much here.

I cam across a tiny stall, Is that Project SEKAI? as I said said it audible, 2 of the girls who is also fan of Project SEKAI turned over and said yes. It seems the Project SEKAI fans found each other. She even have Mafuyu and Kanade doll chain hanging on her bag and I absolutely love it. Of course, Sam felt a bit left out so I returned to him quickly afterwards. and he also bought me one. It's not much but it's a small potrait stand that cost RM 5 each and I got 3 of them. And a cheap Demon Slayer keychain. I am probably saving to gift it to my younger brother or Kelly.

At 4th floor. There's the stage for performance, But the main hall and majority of stalls is what really matters. The Plushies, Body pillows, Figures even promotion for upcoming game to be released on PS5 as well as lucky draw roll. Where the main prize is Playstation 5, and some other prizes are good character anime figures, That including Rem from ReZero alot. It's the floor where all the cosplayers gathers. Yes, there's even a stalls for various of cosplayers. Who willing to have photography for famous cosplayers. There's other various of brands here. Like Gun Gale Online, Sword Art Online, D4DJ. Interestingly, OshiNoKo now gets their merchants like figure and cards. Blue Archive too, ReZero, Jujutsu Kaisen, and as typical. Hololive. Uniquely, Lycoris Recoil, Demon Slayer, Yousugu No Sora.. Hehe. then etc. etc.

huh? "Noodle Stopper Figure" Reina Aharen small & high quality figures. there's even play test and promotion for games. And even allow guest to play on PS5, and Nintendo Switch within specific stalls.Interestingly this event has collabed with various of artists, performers, as well as Hololive's Indo's Lofiteen and 1 other. That they will do collab on Day 3.

One caught my eye. Is that............ Nightcord at 25's Hatsune Miku????? And other Project SEKAI's Miku as well. This stall have most variety of boxed figures! BTR's Whole band including Ryo Yamada. This one with huge sticker says RM 111. Compared to other one with same merchant. this one is cheaper. Yes, I decided I will buy this on the way back. Can't wait. From time to time I make calculation with my balances whether if I am planning to buy or save it.The cosplayers are actually very wholesome and nice. Especially when I commend on their attire and taking photos. Some are high-quality and some are humourous. For the stage itself, me and Sam only sat down with other audience. Although I didnt pay much attention, the singers are cosplaying too. And they are talented musician. So me and Sam only participated for one of the shows before a break from the fest by the arcade.

The exit of the fest lead to the path between toilet and arcade steps away, which is convinient. As I checked on the arcade, all the arcade buddies is there. YY, Lisa, and CYX. Battling together and I joined in. Because of that sore reason. I topped up 50 then play like hell. Which played way more than I ever usually did.

The credits spent today were one game of Taiko with SAM. and the rest 9 games are WMMT battling. There is struggles win and loses. Which makes me confident. We all have fun and laugh. Even Sam joined in for the fun. Even Alvin is there, and they are quite joyful. Although It's somewhat difficult to sympathy with them but it's still good games.I don't want to bother to go over the details but At 5pm. Sam left to eat and notified the shop and stalls are closing on Fest. So I rushed over and yes. I bought it. the Figure itself. Oh man, It's goregous. My friend noticed and wanted to check it. I even have a matching Project Sekai sticker for it. And can't wait to take my first figure home.

For the arcade session, Sam returned to check on the fest and we part away near night. Messaged him it's fun day with him.Ken also told me JJ and other boys are heading to the mall for the fest next day but that's what he heard. Wonder should I meet them or nah the next day.

But i noticed that LisaZX is feeling down and losing confidence after losing the battle in WMMT6RR to a veteran and then to me. When we are leaving the arcade I confronted him. About what's wrong and realized he's just regret that he spend so much unhealthly on this game which I can totally relate. Which is why I distract myself play or do something else with self control. But I gave him some advices and try symptaphy with him. He said that he have to work harder to make money now. I wonder what else I can do for him... Of course, Giving him money or offer stuff is not way to go. Not mature way of dealing comfort others but. advices is all I can give that. Later, I shopped for food supplies and walk back to dorm happily.

Nevertheless. Undoubtly, The first thing I do is drop everything on me and starts to unpack the Figure I bought. Snap the photos hell out from every angle. From this day onward, My first figure will gonna have the first day at bedroom. It might sounds weird but, this will motivates me and keep me up.

JJ wanted one of the figure too after I showed him my N25 Hatsune Miku and he is absolutely in it alright, Sadly there's no Project SEKAI specific characters like Kanade Yoisaki or Akiyama Mizuki. Only specific few Hatsune Miku variants from Project Sekai.

Wait a minute, Now I am sitting at my bedroom at 12am. It occurs to me, back then I had a dream that I have an anime-like character figure. That was Deja Vu and it's now real. Can't stop admiring the figure to be rather honest lol. I also posted on Reddit for them to do quality check and discuss together than shared to various real life and discord friends. And of course, Not the time to share with my family yet or they will think I am not focusing on studies lol.Late at the night I decided to test ZZZ on my family's PS5 through remote play. Probably record a few clips for myself then share it with my friends as well as let me play test it. Ken edits the script of drama at 2am, I am already eepy. God damn. But I think this day is perfect for me to end.
