Author's Note: literally just wrote this up real quick so I wouldn't lose my idea, ha. It's definitely not edited and probably not my best, but I definitely wanted to give y'all something since it's been a while since I've posted. I'll edit and fix it when I have a chance later on.

Triggers: Emotional cheating, being in a loveless relationship.

Glen plopped himself on the couch next to Y/N and let out a sigh of relief. "I'm so happy I finally get to spend some time with you," he said as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders and pulled her close to his chest. With a smile on her face, Y/N snuggled against him, letting her head rest against his chest.

"What movie are we watching?" He asked.

"I picked The Notebook. Is that okay?" Y/N looked up at him.

"I don't care we what we watch as long as we're together," he kissed her forehead. "I'm sorry."

Y/N shook her head. "Glen, you don't need to apologize. We've been together for a couple of years. I know how crazy your work schedule is."

He nodded. "I know, but lately it's been one thing after another. It feels like I get less of a break in between projects now-"

"But isn't that a great thing?" Y/N sat up and grabbed his hand. "Glen, your career is growing and I'm so proud of you."

"But that means spending less time with you...." He trailed.

Y/N sat there in silence. She didn't know how to respond because the truth is, he was right.  And unfortunately, it didn't bother her like it should have. The more they spent time apart, her feelings for him lessened.

His phone rang on the coffee table in front of them. Y/N looked down and saw Sydney Sweeney's name on the screen with a silly photo Glen took with her on the set of Anyone But You.

"I'm spending my time with you," Glen pushed the ignore button.

Y/N opened her mouth to say something when his phone went off. It was her again.

"Answer it," Y/N said. "It might be important if she's calling you back immediately."

"Are you sure?" He asked. Y/N nodded. Glen picked up the phone and answered it. "Hey- whoa! What's wrong?" He asked.

Y/N couldn't hear what Sydney was saying but she could definitely hear her crying. Glen stood up and took the phone call in his bedroom.

Y/N turned off the tv. She grabbed the bowl of popcorn and went to the kitchen. She put the popcorn in a ziplock bag, knowing their night would be officially canceled.

Since filming Anyone But You, Y/N noticed Glen and Sydney's friendship growing more each day. They became best friends. She remembered what that was like. But it was never like that with Glen...

She asked him if anything was going on between them. She had a small flicker of hope that there was because then she had a reason to end their relationship, but he said no. They were only friends and he loved her. She knew he was telling the truth. Glen was such a gentleman. He never gave her any reason to not trust him or lie to her.

The bedroom door open and Glen saw Y/N putting the popcorn away.

"Is everything okay?" She asked.

He shook his head. "She literally just called off her engagement."

Y/N nodded, not at all surprised. Deep down, she knew Sydney had feelings for Glen. Woman's intuition, ya know? She's not sure what happened to call off her engagement, but Sydney calling Glen to let him know was all the confirmation she needed to know she was right.
