Day 21 of Fic-Mas: Wearing Matching Christmas Sweaters
Chris walked into the master bathroom and noticed his wife was still in her robe as she was doing the last touches of her makeup. "Honey, why aren't you dressed yet?" He asked as he fixed his hair again quickly. "The photographer is already downstairs waiting for us."
Y/N giggled lightly. "I wouldn't exactly call Scott a photographer."
Chris smiled as he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her in for a sweet kiss. "That's very true, but it'll hurt his feelings if you tell him he isn't a real photographer."
"Noted," she smiled as she looked into her favorite pair of blue eyes and rested her hand rested above his heart. "I'm not dressed yet because I didn't want any of the loose makeup to fall on my outfit. It's perfect and I don't want to ruin it before we even get the chance to take pictures," she finally answered his question.
"I can't wait to see you in that red dress," he tightened his grib around her and smirked. "I'll be sure to rush Scott out the door the second he's done so I can rip the dress off and have my way with you."
"Oh, is that so? You're such a naughty boy."
"Only for you, baby," he kissed her cheek. "How do I look?"
She pulled back and admired him in a pearl white cable knit sweater. "Very handsome. Now get out so I can get dressed. I'll meet you downstairs in a couple of minutes."
"Sounds good, baby. Come on, Dodger," Chris called out to the pup who was laying in their bed.
"No, leave him," Y/N said.
Chris thought nothing of it as he walked downstairs to meet his brother.
"Oh, Dodger, your daddy has no clue what's about to happen," she giggled. She walked to the walk in closet and pulled out a box she had hidden in the back from Chris. She was surprised he hadn't found it yet.
She opened the box and put on a pearl white cable knit sweater. She quickly put on a pair of jeans and noticed they were too snug to button them on now. She quickly disregarded them and put on a pair of black tights with black boots.
She grabbed another pearl white cable knit sweater and called Dodger into the closet. She promised him a treat if he behaved like a good boy while she put on his sweater. She knew Chris would find this adorable.
"Honey!" Chris yelled from downstairs.
"We're coming!" Y/N called out as she quickly grabbed one last thing and hid it behind her back, using the elastic of the legging to help prevent it from falling out.
Scott burst in laughter when he saw Y/N and Dodger walking in. Chris immediately turned round to see his wife and pup were wearing matching cable knit sweaters like his.
"You like?" Y/N did a small twirl.
Chris chuckled, "I would have preferred the red dress, but this is cute." He kneeled down and scratched behind Dodger's ears, "you look good, bubba!"
"Alright, let's get these pictures. I want y'all to sit on the floor and in front of the Christmas tree," Scott ordered. He snapped a couple of pictures of the happy couple with Dodger.
After a few minutes, Y/N grabbed Chris' hand. "I have one more surprise, but you have to keep your eyes closed, okay?"
Chris raised an eyebrow but did what he was told. Y/N looked at Scott, who nodded. He was in on the surprise and he had the camera ready for what was about to happen next.
Y/N pulled out a baby size cable knit sweater from her back. She held on to one sleeve and placed the other sleeve in Chris' hand. He grabbed it but still kept his eyes closed.
"Okay, open your eyes," she said.
Chris opened his eyes and saw the baby sweater in their hands. "No way!" He yelled with so much excitement. "You're kidding me!" He laughed with tears of joy as he pulled her in for a kiss.
"This is why I'm not in the red dress. I have a small bump already and certain tight clothes don't fit anymore," Y/N chuckled with tears in her eyes.
"Oh, baby, I love you!" He leaned in and kissed her once more. "Okay, now we have to do matching sweaters every year. With this baby and all the other kids to come."
Y/N smiled wide. "Deal."
Scott let them have their moment. He didn't want to intrude on their special moment but he was so grateful to be somewhat a part of it. He captured their special moment and was relieved he got Chris reactions as well. He couldn't wait to see them printed out.
