Author's Note: This one shot was originally written for another character in a different fandom, but given the recent wedding news, I thought I'd change it a bit to fit what most of y'all requested after reading "I Got the Boy".
This one shot is inspired by one of Thomas Rhett's songs and its music video.
A part two will be posted later on this week.
Any and all negative comments about his real wedding and wife WILL BE DELETED. Don't want that drama on my Wattpad.

Y/N sighed as she walked up to the refrigerator, her eyes fixated on a pearl white invitation held up by a magnet. The black cursive letters written across the invitation had haunted her for two months now. She couldn't believe the day had finally arrived. It's a day she'd been dreading, and a part of her hated herself for checking off the 'yes' box on the RSVP card.
She opened a cabinet and reached for the unopened bottle in the very back. She dusted off the dust on the vodka label. She bit her bottom lip as she placed it on the counter. She sighed before she opened the nearest drawer. She pulled out a few colored chips.
1 month sober.
3 months sober.
6 months sober.
1 year of sobriety.
2 years of sobriety.
Lastly, 3 years of sobriety.
In a few days, she would get her 4 years chip.
Is it worth it? She asked herself. Is he worth it?
She grabbed a small glass and placed it next to the unopened bottle. She grabbed the invitation from the fridge and made her way to the front door to put her high heels on. She grabbed her car keys on the countertop and headed to the garage. She walked slowly to her car; slightly hoping time would slow down. She wasn't ready to let go of the one thing she was so sure of.
Is it too late to find a time machine and go back in time? She thought to herself before she started the car. She quickly inserted the address on the GPS and drove to the wedding ceremony.
Y/N's head was clouded with so many thoughts and questions, wondering how the hell she got herself in this situation. Her eyes flickered to the radio as it hummed an old familiar song that took her back to when the boy who stole her heart.
*** Flashback***
The woods were not Y/N's favorite place in the world, especially at night. She tried to avoid the woods during the dark hours. During the daylight, she didn't mind going for a hike. She knew better than to go into the woods by herself - especially at night. But, here she is following her best friend, Scott, with their friends and Scott's older brother, Chris, who led the way.
The breeze was light, but strong enough to hear branches creaking and clattering leaves. In the distance, bushes shook as small animals squirmed underneath, owls hooted into the night sky, and insects hummed with the wind. The hanging branches created eerie looking shadows as the moon shone through the woods.
Feet shuffled as the group followed Chris. Y/N tried to look everywhere to make sure she wouldn't trip over a trunk or broken branch, bump into a tree filled with green moss. Clearly, she wasn't paying close attention as she walked into a spider web causing her to shriek. Scott's laughter echoed through the woods.
"Who's bright idea was this again?" Y/N groaned furiously as she wiped off the spider web.
"Someone a little scared?" Chris chuckled. .
