Chris quickly swiped the hotel key on the door and walked into the dark room. He carefully and quietly closed the door behind, trying his best not to wake up Y/N. Although it was super late, a small part of him was very surprised she was already asleep and not waiting for him like he thought she would.

Using the flashlight on his phone, he walked towards the bathroom and flipped the light switch. Y/N's back was towards him and at this point she already heard him in the room, but she refused to wake up, let alone knowledge his presence. Chris left his phone, keys, sunglasses and wallet on the bathroom counter. He removed his NASA baseball cap and ran his fingers through his soft hair, trying his best to fix his hair. He stripped off his shirt and joggers, only leaving his briefs on.

He walked towards the bed, lifting up the covers. HIs eyes trailed down her bare back. His fingers immediately itched down her perfect smooth, soft body. His eyes landed on her exposed butt cheeks peeking out from a cute black laced thong.

"Well, this is a nice surprise," he said to himself, eager to wake her up with his lips kissing every inch of her back.

He jumped at the sound of her voice, not knowing she was awake after all. "Chris, I'm exhausted. Physically, and more importantly, emotionally. I'm going back to bed."

Her voice sounded so tired, but Chris could hear the hurt. She's not one to express when she's emotionally drained. Not that she's never had a bad day in her life, but she's always been happy, full of life, with a good head on her shoulders. She never lets any negativity in and surrounds herself with the right people that make her feel good, love and support her. So, Chris was definitely hearing alarm bells in his head aftering hearing she's emotionally exhausted.

"Hey, are you okay?" He got into bed next to her and gently rubbed her back.

She wrapped her body tightly with the bedsheet before turning around to face him. "Ha, you're joking right?"

Chris eyebrows furrowed together. "Umm, no. I saw you win tonight and you even managed to break a couple of records after tonight's win-"

"Exactly, Chris," she interrupted. Her eyes began to well up as the pain in her heart began to grow more. "And, you know what sucked about what should have been one of the best nights of my life? Not being able to celebrate with the one person I love."

"Love?"Chris whispered as his heart skipped a beat. "Y/N-"

"No, you know what?" She shook her head, refusing to let him speak. She didn't want to hear what excuse he would give her. "I'm sick and tired of keeping my mouth shut because of your insecurities, Chris.

"I love you," she looked at him straight in the eye as she poured her heart and soul out. "And I have been in love with you since the moment we met and no one knows it. At first, I understood why you wanted to keep me a secret and although I didn't agree with it, I respected your boundary. Social media can be a cruel thing. I know it can mess with people's mental health.

"But. it doesn't for me. I've been in this industry for so long, my skin gets thicker every year. So the haters and the trolls, their words mean nothing to me. It's sad they feel the need to hide behind a computer or phone to be mean to people they don't know and more than likely will never meet.

"So, I supported your decision and hid our relationship from the world. But, after tonight..." she paused for a second, wiping the fallen tears from her cheeks. "I wanted to thank you for always being there for me and supporting me every step of the way in my speech, but I couldn't. Then, I thought you'd be here in my hotel waiting for me so we can finally celebrate together, but it's almost 4AM. You're four hours late, probably because you wanted to sneak into the hotel at an hour no one could catch you-"
