Valarie's pov
"Valarie" I hear someone say and I open my eyes and see Louis
"Louis" I say
"I'm here ok, you are 8cm dilated so you're having a home birth" he says
"Wow, ok" I say
"Yeah so just listen to the midwife ok" he says and I nod
"Ok Valarie there will be no morphine like you would at a hospital and you are now fully dilated so when your next contraction comes you need to push ok" the midwife says
My contraction comes and I push, Louis is still sat in front of me giving me comforting words and another contraction comes
"Ok Valarie you're doing great, I can see the head" the midwife says
Louis grabs a cloth and puts it on my forehead to cool me down, he dabs the rest of my face and my face feels cool. I kiss his lips as to say thank you and he smiles. Another one of my contraction comes and it was a tough one to push.
"Ok Val the shoulders and head are out this should be a little bit easier" she says
"Come on Val almost there" Louis says and I smile
So I feel a bit of relief and I hear crying, I turn around and see the midwife holding my baby girl in her arms wrapped up in a towel
"It's a little girl" she says and she hands her to me. I start to cry
"Aw, baby don't cry" Louis says and hugs me.
The midwife takes her off me to check her over and Louis cuts the cord. He brings her back over and I sit with her in my arms and he goes calls our families and the boys, I couldn't be happier with my baby girl. Louis comes back over and sits down next to me and I place my head in the crook of his neck and looking down at my little boy
"Well done babe" he says and kisses my head
"Do you want to hold her" I say and he nods and I hand Louis Joseph or Joe for short. I can't believe after 9 months our baby boy is here
