today was a great day.

at exactly 12:00 in the morning, there was a knock at the door.

"come in," i said tiredly, having been awoken by the sound.

"hey, ty," jenna smiled widely. "i have someone special here to see you!"

"joshua!" i exclaimed, hopping out of my bed.

"ty!" i heard followed by footsteps running down the hall and into my room.

josh swept me up off my feet, spinning me around as he held me in his arms. i wrapped my legs around his waist and hugged him back tightly.

"josh..." i whispered, pressing my forehead against his. "j-josh, i-i've missed you so much..."

"i missed you more, baby," he said, kissing my lips deeply. he then handed me a bouquet of roses, sitting down on my bed with me in his lap.

"t-this is jenna," i said, pointing to her. "s-shes my nurse a-and she's my best fren."

jenna smiled and ruffled my hair, extending her hand to josh. "hi, i'm jenna. tyler's nurse."

"hi," josh said, shaking her hand. "thank you so so much for taking care of him."

"i'll leave you two alone to... catch up," she winked, starting to walk out the door.

"wait!" i said. "josh, jenna would like me to go to her wedding tomorrow. would you do me the honor of being my date?"

"awww, ty!!!" josh exclaimed, hugging me tightly. "of course i'll be your date, baby!"

i smiled widely and kissed his cheek.

"i'll give you the address later," jenna smiled before she walked out the door.

josh immediately turned to me, taking my face in his hands and kissing me deeply. "gosh, i've missed you."

"i've missed you more, joshua," i said, hugging him tightly. "n-nobody sat with me during lunch s-so i just talked to a picture of you l-like you were there."

i think that made him upset. "ty... i hate that you had to sit alone. does that happen every day?"

"no," i said, shaking my head. "just once a week i have to eat lunch in the cafeteria but other than that jenna comes in here and eats with me."

josh sighed. "alright, at least it isn't happening every day. still, you shouldn't have to sit alone..."

"i-it's ok," i said. "it's the closest we're going to get to a date in a while."

"how about... tomorrow, towards the end of the wedding, you and i go back to my house and do our thing?" he asked, kissing my knuckles.

he meant making love.

"that would be wonderful, joshua."

josh smiled and nodded. "i was thinking that i stay here until midnight since that's when i have to go, but at 12:01 i pick you up and we go back to my place, spend the day together, and then go to the wedding. then i'll get you back here at exactly 12:00 tomorrow. no earlier. how does that sound?"

"perfect," i said, kissing his forehead.

"get some sleep, baby," he said, laying back in the bed with me in his arms. "we have a fun 48 hours ahead of us," he smiled, kissing my temple.

i grinned and nodded, snuggling as close as possible to him and clinging to him tightly. "i love you, joshua. more than anything."

"i love you too, ty," josh smiled, kissing my lips softly. "more than anything."

we woke up around 9:30 or 10, both of us just cuddling and staring into each other's eyes for an hour or so.

we then got breakfast, and josh said we should sit in the cafeteria.

i reluctantly agreed.

we sat down, me incredibly, incredibly close to him.

he eventually just wrapped his arm around me, kissing my cheek as we ate.

"c-can we go back to my room?" i asked, having become overwhelmed by all the people in the cafeteria.

"of course, baby," josh said, throwing away our trash before he returned and immediately grabbed my hand, walking with me back to my room.

"i wish we could watch a movie while we snuggle like we used to," i said sadly.

he smiled and took out his phone, bringing up the netflix app.

i smiled and we started watching titanic.

he had his big, strong arm around me. i looked up at him and smiled, and he smiled back down at me, pressing our noses together which made us both giggle quietly.

then, jenna walked in.

"smile!" she exclaimed, pulling out her phone and taking a picture. "ugh, you two are so cute it hurts," she said. "i was just checking in to see if you needed anything before i headed home."

"i think we're good," i smiled, looking up at josh who smiled and nodded in agreement. "we'll see you tomorrow!" i exclaimed, hugging her tightly. "you're going to look even more gorgeous than usual. i know it."

she blushed and smiled, hugging me back tightly. "thanks, tyler. you're so sweet. it was nice meeting you, josh," she smiled, waving to him.

"you too!" he said, waving back.

"best of luck tomorrow," i said. "we can't wait."

"i can't either," she laughed. "i'll see you guys then."

and with that, joshua and i were left alone. we decided we both needed new photos of each other, so we took a bunch of different pictures.

then, an unknown number sent josh a photo along with an address, and we immediately knew it was jenna.

"awww, ty!!" josh exclaimed. "you look even more adorable than usual in this!!"

i blushed and giggled shyly, hugging my fiancé tightly. "well look at you lookin all manly even in a pink shirt."

josh giggled and poked my belly before pulling me closer, kissing my lips and combing through my hair with his fingers.

"i love you, tyler," he smiled.

"i love you too, joshua," i grinned, kissing his lips deeply.

and with that, we fell asleep entangled in each other's arms.

i love my fiancé.
