today, joshua came over to my apartment.

i protested, saying he should be spending time with his family, but he said they were the ones that told him to come be with me.

zo i allowed him inside, plopping down on the couch next to him. though, soon, he put me in his lap.

he said it was easier to 'see and kiss my pretty face.'

we kissed each other's foreheads, we kissed each other's noses.

we kissed cheeks, chins, and lips.

but that was all we were going to do.

at least, that's the plan.

today, we agreed that if there is ever a time while we are engaged and the time is right, we would take things a step further.

but not while we're just dating.

we want to have something new and special we do as a couple through each step of our life.

right now, it's kissing.

for engagement, it'll be sleeping together.

and for marriage, it'll be sex.

that is, if all goes to plan.

part of me wants it to.

but oh, does part of me disagree.
