today, i learned joshua would be leaving me.

for two weeks.

he was going on a required trip for school to amsterdam.

i cried.

and i didn't allow him to come inside.

but he waited at the door.

and an hour later, i opened the door and fell into his arms.

he hugged me tightly, rubbing my back and telling me i would be alright.

though valentine's day was coming up.

and i had big plans for us.

but he wouldn't be back until the 17.

that's three days late.

but, i decided that since he loved music and he had always dreamed of going overseas, i would be a good boyfriend and be happy for him.

"i'm sure you'll have lots of fun," i said, not meaning for my voice to sound to sad.

"i'll miss you so much," he told me, kissing the top of my head.

he leaves tomorrow.

i don't know what i'm going to do without him.
