today i went to the studio, having insisted josh come along too.

so he did, and i did some demos.

he kept smiling at me while i was in the recording booth.

after i finished, sean, the producer, said he wants to have a meeting with the heads and discuss a possible deal.

joshua and i were ecstatic.

"alright, how's june 18 around 1? that's the only day i can do."

"o-oh," i said. "t-that's josh's bir-"

"perfect," josh said. "he'll be there."

"b-but i-it's your-"

"you'll be at the meeting, ty," josh said, hugging my waist.

when we got to the car, i immediately started to protest going to the meeting and missing josh's birthday, but he shut me up with a kiss.

"baby, you might get a record deal. a record deal! you can't miss that!" he said, squeezing my hands. "and yes, you being there on my birthday means a lot to me, but this could change everything, ty."

i sighed and hugged him tightly before we got in the car and drove home. we were both very tired, so we just fed jim then went to bed, the puppy eventually joining us.

i feel so terrible missing josh's birthday, but he says it's quite alright.

i'll have to find a way to make it extra special.
