today, josh and i pretty much just snuggled and kissed.

i forgot how much i adore when we do what we call 'the spider man kiss' which is basically where i lay with my head at the end of the bed while he stands and kisses me so our faces are opposite directions.

we pretty much always just end up giggling and holding hands as we look at each other, but we love it.

i also received my first hickey in about a month. josh said he wanted it high enough so everyone would know i'm taken.

by him.

he's very, very protective.

and i love it.

we also went to the dun home since momma dun insisted we come over for a big dinner to celebrate me being back.

i blushed as each person in the family noticed the hickey, but joshua just smiled at me and squeezed my waist each time.

momma dun cooked all my favorite foods and abbie sat in my lap the entire meal. i could tell josh was getting jealous, so i promised him special attention once we got back to my apartment and held his hand the rest of the time.

we finished and i thanked momma over and over again for the meal, and she wouldn't even let me help her with the dishes.

we hugged everyone goodbye then returned to my apartment, crawling into bed and snuggling as we talked.

apparently i'm not the only one getting nervous about gay marriage not being legalized.

josh said he too was starting to worry about us not being able to get married. it's frustrating, really. i'm not allowed to marry the person that i love more than anything who also happens to be the only thing keeping me alive all because we're both guys.

we get along one hell of a lot better than a lot of straight couples.

but, what matters is that we love each other, and nothing is ever going to change that.

"let's do something fun tomorrow, ty," josh said, kissing my nose.

"like what?" i asked, lacing my fingers with his.

"let's go skinny dipping," he grinned.

"like... naked skinny dipping?"

"that's what skinny dipping is, baby," he giggled, kissing my chin.

i thought about it for a second, then nodded. it's something we won't be able to do forever and josh seems like he wants to do it, so i agreed.

it should be... interesting.
