today i left to go out of town with mark, melanie, and ashley.
josh cried.
i hugged him tightly and pressed what felt like thousands of kisses against his lips as i promised him i would be back in three days.
he said he'd miss me and that he hopes i won't forget him.
i said i could never forget my fiancé.
he sniffled and nodded, starting to say bye but just ending up walking into my arms again.
he's still my giant teddy bear. i hugged him for as long as i could before momma had to pry him off me so i wouldn't be late.
i was very happy to see she was hugging josh.
"i love you, honey," i said, kissing his temple and rubbing his back. "i'll see you in a few days."
he sniffled and nodded, his face still buried in momma dun's shoulder as i headed out the door.
as i was getting in the car, josh ran out and tackled me in a hug.
"i-i forgot to say i love you too," he said.
i smiled and blushed, kissing his forehead. "i'll see you in a few days, alright?"
momma dun has my number and she'll be texting me regarding what josh does while i'm away.
does he go out, does he drink, does he just kind of forget?
i'll find out soon enough.
