today, my boyfriend surprised me at work.
as i was sorting the vinyls, he tapped my shoulder with a wide grin.
i turned to see he had a single red rose in his hand.
i can't remember the last time my smile was so wide.
i love him.
i love him so much.
he kissed my lips and acted like he was just a customer whenever my boss would pass.
though, she knew he was more than a customer.
and she was perfectly ok with it.
so we snuck out when the store was nearly empty, around to the back where we kissed in private.
we giggled and grinned, holding each other close for almost ten minutes before i decided i had to go back in.
so i returned inside, my boyfriend following.
he then had to go pick abigail up from school, snapping a photo of me and him so that he could show her why he was late.
he said if she knew it was because he was with me, she wouldn't mind.
i said goodbye, he kissed me one last time, and he was gone.
though my smile stayed.
as did the rose in my nimble fingers.
i love this boy.
