Tobias POV:
A couple hours after Christiana and zeke died, me and tris stuck together and kept fighting and we're still alive. So we called it a night. Our team got a tent out so me and tris are in our tent now with one lantern. It's pouring outside but our tent is waterproof so we're good. Right now tris is in the corner of the tent with her arms wrapped around her knees rocking back and fourth.
"Tris you have to eat" I say
"I don't want to" she mumbles
"Tris we have a long day tomorrow, you have to eat" I say
"I don't care, I'm going to die anyway" she says
"Tris you don't.." I say
"No Tobias we're all gonna die, don't you see that" she says
"Tris if we try maybe we can survive" I say
"Why do I live in hell?" She sobs
"I don't know tris, I don't know" I say
"I wish everything could go back to normal" she says
"Meet too" I say
"I don't know who I am anymore" she says
"I know who you are, you are the brave selfless beautiful tris prior" I say
She smiles and then her smile disappears. She is breaking apart. She's broken inside. I need to help her more. I need to be there for her more. She puts her hands on her face and starts to sob. I scoot over to her and I wrap my arms around her. She rests her head on my chest and sobs into it. I rub her back in a circular motion to soothe her.
"Why does Christiana have to be dead?" She cries
"I don't know tris, but everything happens for a reason" I say
"I know, it's just it used to be me, will, al and Christiana and they're all dead except for me" she cries
"I know tris, but they want you to move on and they will be always in your heart" I say
"I know but I-I-I lost everything" she sobs
"You didn't lose me" I grin
"I love you" she says
"I know" I say
She kisses my cheek and wraps her arms around me tighter. I smile because this girl means the world to me. She's the reason I became a better person.
"Cmon lets get some sleep" I say
"Okay" she says
We both lay down in our sleeping bags. I pull the extra cover over us. I wrap my arms around tris. I fall asleep to the sound of dripping water from the rain.
