Shadow

"So you going to carry me everywhere today?" I asked as Braxton walks through the forest towards our spot while I was getting a piggyback from him.

"Shadow you're not even heavy your as light as a feather." He says.

"Mhm"

After we had breakfast but really it was lunch we decided to head to the waterfall for the day, it was hot and the water would be so nice.

Once we got there he places me down, the medication had finally kicked in so I wasn't feeling as sore. I pulled off my shoes, shirt and shorts since I was in my bikini and limped slowly into the water with Braxton following behind me.

I ducked my head under the water and swam deeper into the middle as I came up for air I laid on my back floating around. Braxton was swimming around me till I felt the water around me stop and I could only hear the waterfall, the next thing I knew Braxton slowly raises next to my wounded thigh.

I could feel his fingers lightly touch the bullet hole, closing my eyes I could feel how warm his fingers were. It made my heart beat fast when he kissed it making me bite my lip so I couldn't let out a whimper. When I came up right in the water I could see something in eyes, something I've never seen before. Braxton got closer to me wrapping his arms around me as I placed my hands on his bare shoulders.

He looks down at my chest near my collarbone where the other bullet hole was. I sighed as I pulled away from him but he grabbed a hold of me and pulls me back in, he hand reaches up to stoke my cheek but then pulls me closer to the back of the neck and nudges my nose with his before he kisses my lips.

It was the most romantic thing. I couldn't help but feel butterflies as I held onto him, this had been a dream of mine. I just couldn't believe that it had come true.

After spending all day swimming I was so tired I had worked on my physio for my leg and I could feel it getting sore again. So when Braxton dropped me off he went back to the clubhouse, I went for a shower to get ready for dinner and then bed.

My mum was placing our plates on the kitchen table when I limped in. "Hey baby" she says as I kissed her cheek as she helped me sit down.

"Smells great mum" I smiled before my dad walks in kissing my head and takes a sit at the head of the table.

"What did you get up to today?" My father asked as I started to dig into my dinner, thinking back to the waterfall I blushed.

"I.. um.. I went to the waterfall with Braxton."

"Mhm, so why are you blushing?" My mother asks smirking which makes me blush more but I shake my head. "we've noticed that his been around for the past few days, things going back to normal?" My mother asks as I shrugged my shoulders. I didn't know what was going on it was like everything had switched, he had slept here the night and took me to our spot..

When I looked at my dad it looked like he wanted to say something but he was a man of few words just like my grandfather. "What is it dad?" I asked.

He sighed looking at me "I just don't want to see you hurt again. Seeing you like that..." he started to say but he couldn't finish as he shook his head no. "I don't want that to ever happen again, I mean it Shadow."

"I know dad and I love you both" I said taking my father's hand squeezing it.

Shortly afterwards I helped my mum in the kitchen cleaning up the dishes and then went off to bed, but I wasn't able to sleep. All I kept thinking about was today and what had happened. It felt good being in his arms like I was safe.

My phone beeped a message hoping it was from Braxton but Eva had left a message

• Party at mine tomorrow x •

• I'll be there x •

• Good wear something hot x •

I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her messages, it was only going to be Julio and his friends anyways wasn't much of a big deal.
