The first thing Merlin realized when he was coming out of his unconscious state was that he felt comfortable warm. The clothes were a bit bigger both in length and width. The next thing was that he felt not too cold.

Both the warmth from whatever was wrapped around him and another warmth made him confused but also scared. The last memory he had was being in the cold and now he was suddenly somewhere warm. It was suspicion and whoever has him could be one of the bandits.

This alone made him shiver. There was also the pain that had lessened yet the coughs were as bad as before. He sneezed as well from time to time and still felt sick. Even when he felt a bit better, it was clear that he was still sick, and it would take days for him to really get better and then recover.

Merlin also felt feverish and this was why he was sure that he was right now not feeling that much pain because of his body feeling numb. It was a thing that he now realized. So that he cracked his eyes and realizing that he also had something cool over his forehead.

"Ah finally your awake. Really worried that you would never wake up." The familiar male voice startled him and making him tense up.

As his mind was slower and he just couldn't remember where he heard it before. Meaning that he was unsure who had him but nonetheless someone familiar which was leading for his body relax more now.

"Hm?" He croaked/hummed out and glancing into the direction to see a familiar face of Mordred. With this he was sure that he was safe. Making him relax more and giving the other a confused look.

"Guess you don't remember, much do you?"

The tone was mused out yet there was also the concern heard and he was sure that the other was horrified.

"I found you in the middle in the woods without anyone near you, bound and unconscious. I didn't even get surprised as it's nothing new but even for you this is a new misfortune." The tone was said in the same amused, fond yet also a concern was even now heard.

It showed that the other cared for him deeply and he felt his cheeks heat up more. He wanted to say something, but his throat was feeling too sore. Making him known that there would be no way that he would be able to talk for a while.

"Just don't try to talk moron. Mordred and I had been watching over you whenever the other was resting or having to do something." The female voice was making him know that this was Morgana and her tone made him blink owlishly. It sounded motherly and it led to him feel his cheeks heat up more and he could just nod. No way was he going to go against her, knowing how scary she can be.

He closed his eyes soon.

The next few days were with him resting and the two taking care of him. It was nice to have this after the past few days being stressful. Usually, he wasn't someone who could just rest and now he was forced to made him feel after he got relative healthy refreshed.

But even after a few days he felt weak and his throat was still not yet healed. Meaning that he wasn't able to talk well. That was probably why when Mordred and Morgana gave the alright for him to go back to Camelot and Mordred decided to go with him.

A good thing as he wouldn't had been able to do this without the other. Not just because of him being weak but also because of bandits. Which made him shudder at the memory he got and also the fact that he was feeling occasionally still dizzy.

It was something that got better but was still slightly there. Making him be glad that they were riding one horse together. Without Mordred he was sure that he would have fallen down. When they entered Camelot, he could see that the people were relived to see him.

By now most of them knew him and it was making him smile slightly. He was finally home, and god was that feeling good. But also, slightly terrifying knowing how Arthur will react. Then one by one of his friends were met and each gave him a stern talk.

With everyone adding a hug afterward, how much they missed him and that they are glad that he was at least back to healthy. Also adding that Arthur had not been getting any rest after his disappearance until Mordred send that letter.

It was making him flush as well as feeling his heart flutter. It showed that the king cared for him. When they knocked at the door there was the familiar voice of Arthur. He sounded distracted and as soon as he opened the door, Arthur rushed over, gave him a smack behind his back with a sentence that he was a moron.

Then a hug and that the male was worried sickly and that he should never do this. It ended up with him feeling his cheeks heating up and Mordred snorting. There was also a kiss added soon afterward, not helping his flushed cheeks that was by now his entire face

It seemed that Arthur had realized his feelings, with how dense he was, and he couldn't help but muse. At least he knew that the feelings were mutual and that was the last secret that he had hidden from Arthur. Other then what had happened, which was not really a big secret as Mordred put one on one together and he was sure that the other had told this Arthur.

Maybe this was why the other had since that day been less forceful and giving him affectionate touches or in general, he was affectionate and the knights even more. The knights and the king were overprotective making him both flattered but also annoyed at the protectiveness, but he couldn't be mad long at them. As he could see that his friends cared deeply about him and that was what they showed with their protectiveness and affectionate.
