Merthur/Merlin one shot

Omegaverse Au

Merlin always knew that when anyone of his friends would know him being an Omega he would be pretty much screwed. Not that he was as any of the other Omega's, with his magic and then him acting more like a Beta was showing that he was not really like others.

His instincts were there of course and the other using their Alpha voice was a thing that worked semi on him. He pushed against these instincts and hated this a lot. Omega's were for most treated weak and they were most treated just to make children and watching over them and that was it.

Lancelot was the only one that new of this and he treated him normal. Lucky for him and he was grateful for the other. There was Gwaine who was having for sure suspicions about his magic.

"Lancy I feel my heat coming up and I am scared. Arthur is my Alpha a-and he's not gonna accept me. He's a oblivious prat." He whined to Lancelot who giving him a raised eyebrow.

"Pretty sure he is but even when he knows you are an Omega, he would treat you just the same way he always treats you."

He couldn't believe Lancelot and the other knew this. The fear about him being treated differently made him want to hide this.

"You know that your wrong. Did you see how he treats other Omega's? For him they are weaker and he won't let me continue working."

His eyes teared up and he hated how emotional he was about this. As his Alpha, Arthur could make him lose his job and being forced to stay home and play house wife. The thought alone made him feel the need to cry.

Lancelot let out a sigh as pulling him into his chest. The other done this often and this was not the first time that they had that conversation. Merlin was lucky that Uther was not any longer alive, or else he might even be killed because of deceiving the other. Or worse getting banned from Camelot.

"Alright, you don't need to tell Arthur. I just thought it would do you two good. I can tell that the other cares for you a lot."

It was relieving to hear this. It was known that Arthur cared for him but having the other known him being an Omega could destroy everything. This was it about this conversation as they were called for the hunting's that Arthur decided to do.

"Took you two long." Gwaine teased and he flushed slightly at the teasing tone. His emotions still hadn't yet settled and he really was not knowing how to act right now.

"Just let Merlin be." Lancelot butted in and this was not the best thing to say. As now all eyes were on him and making him want to bury a hole and hide in it.

"Okay, guys stop it. We need to start riding or else we won't be getting anywhere." This time it was Elyan and he was really glad about this.

"He is right. Stop being girls and get going." Arthur told the others with his normal Alpha voice. Making this suck even more.

"Yeah, yeah prat." He grumbled out and the other watched him closely the entire way that they were riding in the woods.

The ride was normal as usual but he could feel the unrest in the woods and as always there had been bandit attacks. Worst was that he could tell that they know he was an Omega with his scent starting to pick up by others for sure. It was a defense that the person that was the Alpha would protect their Omega.

"I would let go now." The growl surprised everyone and even him. Arthur was pissed and he had not seen the other that pissed since Uther had decided that killing a druid boy was alright.

"And why should I? This is an Omega, he will give us a lot of money." Dumbass one said and he shivered at the disgusting touch of this person.

"Wait he's- Oh well that explains a lot of things." Gwaine mused and making him huff out. This sucked a lot and he really was done.

Now all that is needed was that they would find out his magic. From the look that was given from Arthur made him avoid his gaze. There was no way that he would not treat him the same. Alpha's were made to protect Omega's and he would no way treat him the same.

"Shut up, I really am done dealing with you bandits. Just because I am an Omega, doesn't mean that I cannot protect myself." He gritted out as kicking up and hitting the other straight between the males legs. Making the other let out go and him punching the dumbass one with full strength into the face.

"I have enough with people thinking that Omega's are weak." He gritted out and walking away, not having the patience nor the emotions to deal with anyone right now, not even his Alpha.

His omega was not liking him walking away but he was done right now. It was bad that they found out about this and knowing Arthur he would for sure not accept him wanting to be alone. The other would continue bothering until he would snap at the other.
