Arthur couldn't believe his eyes. This wasn't what should have happened. Why him? Why had that moron done this? Why had he sacrificed himself for him? He was trying his best to help him, trying to somehow get the wound to stop bleeding. And he felt more and more frustrated. As well a sorrow which hit him hard. But this wasn't the worst part. The worst part was that he used a spell. One which switched his wounds with him, and it wasn't just this, but the fact that Merlin gave him both his magic and Merlin's immortality. But that was something he hadn't realized at that time.

"P-please don't do t-this..."

He felt more like crying, but he couldn't be strong for his friend. Merlin never left him. Merlin was the kindest and most loyal person, and he couldn't care about him having magic. And he regretted now reacting like this. Even after he pushed him aside, he still stayed. Still was helping him and still took care of him. Now he regretted it dearly and all he wanted right now was for Merling to survive this.

"A...rthur....I...l...oved...y...ou and t...hank...y...ou for b...eing...my friend..."

His heart fluttered at this and now he regretted that he never had said this. Regretted it dearly that he hadn't told him that he was in love with him. Now his heart felt heavy and he felt tears roll down.

"D-don't leave me...I need you. I l-love you as well...can't-can't do this without you..."

He couldn't anymore and Merlin's breath was more shallow now. The male tugged him down with the last strength on his chain armor and when he went down, he felt lips on him. Arthur felt the other male go limp soon afterward and he pulled away and a strangled sob escaped.

"Merlin no!"

He screamed, but there was nothing he could do. It was his fault. Merlin died because of him. Flapping sounds were soon heard and when he looked at the direction he gasps. The tears still were rolling down and he couldn't stop the sobs escaping from him.

"Young Pendragon."

His eyes glared fiercely glared up at the dragon not wanting to deal with him. This dragon would now attack him. And right now he couldn't deal with him.

"He didn't just give your life away, but you are now like Merlin. He gave his magic and his immortality to you. But don't you worry he will arrive when Albion will need him the most."

His eyes widen now and he couldn't believe what he heard. Was that making him a sorcerer now? This was way too much for him. Dang it, why had Merlin done this? Just why?

"W-what?"

The dragon's eyes soften and he said one last thing which made him feel hopeful that he would see Merlin again.

"You will know when the time is ripe."

The dragon left with this and he was left alone. Not knowing what to do. He sniffed a bit more and he let out a sigh. Arthur wasn't sure what to do next. That was why he picked Merlin's body up and looked with a sorrowful expression down, as walking up to a boat. He put him carefully down, as brushing the bangs of the male away. He gave him a last glance and kiss on his temples as pushing the boat away. He watched it look smaller and smaller until he couldn't see the boat again.

'Thank you, my old friend...'

He turned away and seeing Lancelot at him. The male looked at him with a grim expression, and he gave him a sorrowful one back.

"Merlin died. When we are back, I want to legalize magic. It is the least I can do for Merlin."

Lancelot had wide-eyed, but soon he had as a sorrowful expression. The two-headed back to Camelot, none had said one word.
