Merlin cursed every god there was out there. Why are these situations always happening whenever he was out with Arthur? Oh, wait because Lady luck likes to mess with him. So why is he is right now cursing every god he knew off? Well, Arthur and he were just going on a trip; because Arthur decided to visit the neighbor's town. His reasonings were that he had to know how his people are fending and Merlin warned him for going alone just without at least more than one knight.
And like always Arthur shrugged him off and telling him that he was a girl. As well as paranoid. And now THEY WERE IN THIS EFFING SITUATION BECAUSE HIS EFFING KING THOUGHT IT WAS A GENIUS IDEA TO GO ALONE OR ALMOST. OH SCREW THIS ALL.
-Pardon, for yelling right now-.
He was way too furious at him. Where was he again? Oh yeah, why he was furious. They were attacked by bandits right now. Many, he managed to fend them all off, but because of this, he hadn't realized that there was a sorcerer. Until he heard a foreign voice. Out of instinct, he pushed his king away and instead of him; Merlin ended up getting hit by the spell. His magic flared for a moment, but then everything went black...
'Shit, that can't be good...'
---
Arthur felt himself being jolted by someone. At first, he wanted to yell until he saw -that this was Merlin- who laid unconscious. His eyes widen in shock, not even getting what had happened. There was as well a distinct churning in his gut. A churning feeling he knew just when he was feeling scared of his manservant. The last time he really felt scared when the said male suddenly disappeared. Gods, was he right now glad that the bandits weren't that many.
"I wasn't planning to get that servant hit, but this will do as well. He never will wake up again."
An evil laugh was heard at the end of the sentence then the person disappeared in a whirlpool of leaves. His brows furrowed at this, -but he shook his head- now wasn't the time for thinking about what she told him. Arthur shook Merlin, but nothing. He tried again and realized something was wrong. He couldn't see any injuries on the outside, so maybe he ended up having some injuries on the inside.
"We postpone our visit to Hanada village." (Can't think of a better name )
Lancelot nodded at this and he regretted now not listening to Merlin. Next time he would for sure listen more closely to his warnings. Now that he thought about it, they always were right. Arthur would never say it out loud, but he was in the wrong. A sigh escaped as he heaved the unconscious male up and furrowed his brows. The male was way too light and he noted this on his mind. A reminder set to make Merlin from now on eat at least with him breakfast.
"Lancelot, can you do me a favor and take Merlin's horse with you?"
The said male looked concerned and nodded again. There was a pause and he could see that Lancelot was struggling with his words.
"Will he be alright, Sire?"
Will he? He has to. No way could he let Merlin die. When he would die he would drag him back and sock him on the back of his head. That moronic selfless, sacrificing baffoon.
"He has to."
Was his short answer. Almost slipping with having an anxious tone. He couldn't show this. Arthur needed to be strong for everyone. They rushed back and he went straight to Gaius. The male had never woke up. Not even flinching nothing. Almost like he was dead, -wouldn't it be for the heaving of his chest-. As he was in front of the door, he wasn't even bothering to knock and opening it.
"Gaius, Merlin is hurt."
The mentioned male turned his head and -looked instantly alarmed- as telling him to put him on the bed there. The waiting was something he hated the most. When he started pacing around, Gaius sent him outside. So he was pacing outside of the room, anxiously waiting for what was wrong with Merlin. He feared that Merlin would die.
'What is taking him so long?'
He asked himself and huffed out feeling more anxious. Merlin for sure rescued his life now twice. Maybe, even more, there was always a feeling that his manservant was helping out behind his back. But that couldn't be because then he would have magic. And Merlin is one of the most loyal and most kindhearted people he has ever met. But when he would have magic, why wasn't he telling him that he was a sorcerer?
"Sire?"
This made his head snap now at the door. Gaius looked at him with an expression that was grave. He walked back inside and waited for the physician to tell him what Merlin has.
"I didn't find any injuries per se, but there is a distinct feeling. A feeling I can just feel when magic is involved. I have the assumption- no I am sure about this. Sire there is magic involved."
It felt like someone had hit him straight into his gut at this. Now he knew why the sorceress told him this.
"There was a sorceress involved. She said something about him never waking up."
Gaius looked even grimmer.
"This won't mean something good. The only spell I know is a curse and its called Sleepy beauty. It makes the person sleep, and the only way to break it is through a kiss of true love."
Arthur had no idea what to do and his gut felt queasy at the thought about people kissing Merlin. But he couldn't just do anything and so he let out a sigh.
"Alright. I will take him to my bed. It is the least I can do for taking my place instead. It would have hit me, but he pushed me away."
Gaius nodded at this and he picked him up again. He was almost out of the door until he turned around again.
"I will do everything in my power as king of Camelot to break that spell."
The older man looked softly at him, but there was sorrow seen, as well as gratefulness.
"Thanks, Sire. He is for me by now like a son I never had."
Arthur chuckled as he gave him a thoughtful look before saying.
"It is the least I can do for you and Merlin. After all, he probably had protected me in the background or not?"
A wink was given at the ending and he turned around, leaving gobsmacked Gaius. He walked inside of his room and put the raven-haired male under the cover. He looked so peaceful and it was making him feel horribly guilty. He walked outside and waited for someone to arrive. Which was Gwaine.
"Hold up for a moment I need you to bring a message to the entire Camelot."
Gwaine looked at him with both puzzled and curious manner.
"Camelots people I need you all to get to the meeting place. I have a message to tell."
His best friend was still staying and he knew he wanted answers. This was after all something big.
"Merlin got cursed instead of my place, and the only way to break the curse is a kiss of true love."
This was making the other male looked at him with wide eyes, and soon concern was seen.
"Alright, I will get every one of the knights involved. I am sure we will find someone who will break the curse."
With this, he turned around but not without giving him a pat on his shoulder. So after everyone was in front of him, he told them the message and he was not liking this one bit. Why he had no idea yet...
A/N ending this for now. solangeloshipper101 finally got to it. I will make this a second part hehe :3
