It had been a few months now and he was beaming and felt happy. Even with Uther trying to make Arthur marry someone. So far it went well for the two, but he wasn't sure how long it would take for Uther to be fed up. Which was why the two made a plan with Gwen. The female knew how much this upsets the two. 

That was why on the outside it looked like Gwen and Arthur were together. It was of course making him jealous, but his soulmate always tugged on their bond to reassure him. It was making him feel butterflies flutter in his stomach.

So, he hates Cedric and his soulmate knows this. Which was why the male wasn't letting Cedric get away with making him pass out. Which was what Cedric was surprised that he knew it had been him. But he knew that Arthur had probably seen him do this. So that he got arrested. It was making his heart flutter. The male even cleaned his face.

God, he loves him so much which he always said when they were alone. And Arthur always was affectionate behind closed doors. Sometimes even outside in public. Like that one time where he almost ended up getting arrested for being a sorcerer, which he wasn't. Arthur knows this and he was going tooth and nail to protect him and Gaius.

"You moron! You promised not to use magic. You almost got yourself arrested and now Gaius ended up in the dungeons."

He could just shrink down and nod at this. It was just that he needed sometimes to let out magic. It was a part of his. Arthur knows and that was why he let out a sigh at the end and pulling him into a hug.

"We will get through this. I will make sure to try and help Gaius out."

He could just nod at this, but not saying anything as hugging back. It was just so harsh, and he hated this. So, with Gwen's help, the two found out it had been some kind of eye drops that caused the others to hallucinate. Which in the end made the witchfinder get executed.

It had been another few months since then and he was loving the male even deeper now. It was just that when his father died, he was there for him. Let him morn and he was so glad about this. Arthur was the total opposite of Uther. A good thing you asked him and it was why he fell for Arthur.

Why? Just why had they have to end up in a situation- never mind. Merlin knows why and he cursed on the inside their luck. Which was why they right now ended up in a tavern fight.

"Yo, I am Gwaine."

The male introduced himself in the middle of their fight. And he couldn't help but snort at this and grin at the other.

"Merlin."

The fight ended up pretty fast thanks to the now known Gwaine. The male even rescued Arthur and he gave Arthur a nod. The two ended up going soon.

"You sure he won't you know..."

Arthur trailed off and he gave him a look but nodded. Gwaine was the kind of guy who wouldn't treat someone differently. Or that was what he felt. Not to mention there was a chibi Lancelot shaking the bigger male.

"Please help him. I don't care what you have to do."

A soft smile was on his lips as he gave Arthur a look that told him; 'I will do it', which the male just let out an exasperated sigh.

"Lêc."

As soon as the foreign words left, Gwaine's wound slowly closed and Lancelot looked relieved. Thanking him way too many times.

"Holy shit, you are a sorcerer. How badass is this?"

The aw clearly heard and he had to stare and get his mind out of the gutter for a moment when hearing this from the now conscious Gwaine.

"Not quite right. I was born with this and am a warlock. Anyway, you need to hide me being a warlock."

Gwaine turned for a moment serious and nodded, with promise.

"Good, let's get to you to Camelot. Your soulmate is actually living there."

They started to get back to Camelot after this. And he was really happy to see Lancelot and Gwaine talk. At some point, they got together. And now he had two couples to be jealous about.

A pout was what he gave when seeing Arthur being with Gwen. So that he decided to walk away. It was just not fair. He knew it was irrational, but he couldn't help feeling like this. So that he was in his room pouting and being rolled together in a ball.

'This isn't fair. Why can everyone else be happy, but not me and Arthur...'

His heart was now feeling a pang of pain. So that he started to groan in frustration and felt even tears roll down. Great, now he was that upset that he cried. The door opened not too soon afterward, and he huffed out.

"Merlin?"

Oh great. Arthur is nowhere. That was really what he needed. He heard the footsteps approach and then someone sitting down. Even a hand goes through his hair soothingly.

"Merlin..."

He sniffed but not going reacting. Right now, he was too frustrated. A sigh was heard and soon he felt himself in a pair of arms.

"I feel like the biggest jerk ever to make you watch me and Gwen."

He bit his lips at this because he knows that this hurts Arthur as much as him. So that he pulled away but soon kissing him. He wasn't going to let Arthur say this. Merlin wanted to tell the entire world that Arthur was his, but he couldn't. Which was why he was right now doing this.

Arthur blinked first but kissed back. His lip got nib, which made him let out a gasp. This was enough to let Arthur have an entrance with his tongue. Once again, the two-tongue danced in a dominance battle but like always his prince won.

It was two weeks later that Uther died and another week later that it was announced that Gwen and Arthur broke up.

Another week later the new legalization of magic happened, him ending up as a court warlock, and then that he was his soulmate and that they would end up getting together. With the approval of others or not. Which made him grin and giving him a peck on his cheek.

The people had two reactions the once who cheered- which were almost everyone- and then the others who were not approving and booing. Arthur shut them up straight away. A month later Morgana and Mordred came back.

With Morgana, he was alright with but Mordred he felt the most excited. The two were like brothers and that the now teen would come back was amazing. Let's just say Arthur ended up jealous and it was his turn to reassure the male that he was just feeling a brotherly bond he had with the other male.

Gwaine had actually a field trip with this and ended up making Arthur occasionally possessive. Which he was right now.

"Gwaine, back of he. Is. Mine."

And he got pulled away and ended up in a heated kiss. His cheeks flushed, a gasp escaped, and he felt his legs give in. Dang him, making him horny.

"Leon you're in charge. I have to take care of something."

A smirk was given now down to him and he bit his lips. His eyes trailed to the others who had either a smirk or where blushing madly. He ended up getting carried into their room and was pressed against the wall as Arthur pressed his lips once again on him.

Let's just say they had amazing sex. Although the teasing was something he wished could have been avoided by others. Whelp, there was nothing he could change about this.
