(The same warning than the one shot before. Like I said before, get help when you feel like this or I am always willing to talk in private when you need someone to listen)

Arthur was not sure how to react when he got new memories from when he was king of Camelot. But what he knew was that he felt horrible for leaving Merlin and his concern was big. His gut instinct told him that he had to find him and that fast. Before something bad would happen. The gut feeling told him that Merlin would do something really bad. Like really aweful bad.

The door got thrown opened and he almost got a heart attack. Which with the girly yelp that escaped made it clear that he got jump scared. That scared him shitless. His eyes trailed towards the door to see that it was Gwaine, who looked at him with eyes that spoke more than words. It was funny how they knew each other since childhood. Almost as fate wanted us to meet again. His thumb was rubbing on his coffee mug as he looked at his best friend in concern.

"You remember as well?"

He asked to the said male and he saw him grimaced as well nodding. His eyes held concern and he wasn't sure why. But soon that question was answered by his best friend's reply.

"Yes, but there is no time, Arthur. Merlin will do something soon. Something really bad. My granny went today to an antique shop. She occasionally visits, because I quote her 'There is a young man who always looked so lonely. I can't just let that young man alone'. And she told me that something is off about him today. She wasn't sure why and told me that I should go there and make friends with him. Right afterward, I remembered."

His eyes widen as he stood up and picking up his jacket. There was no time to wait as it was now 6 pm. Maybe it wasn't too late yet and he really hoped that this idiot wouldn't have done something bad.

"Then let's go. There is no time to wait."

With this, the two rushed outside, and him locking the door of course. His heart was thundering in his chest as he was getting more and more scared of his other best friend. Which he may have a crush on as well.

When he arrived he was running towards the same lake where he died. Not even waiting for his best friend. As he has entirely forgotten about Gwaine. So when he arrived at the lake he swallowed thickly. He could see someone slowly getting deeper and deeper inside the lake. Almost as this person was trying to take his life. He rushed inside and shivering slightly as the feeling of the cold water gave him. This was pushed aside by him. He had to get fast towards this person before it was too late.

When he got nearer he recognized who this was...Merlin and his heart sank. Why would he choose this? What happened since he died? It almost made him want to cry now, as just the thought alone broke his heart. He never got the chance to tell the latter male that he fell for him. There was as well the thing that at his past life it wouldn't fend well. It was a sin to love the same gender in his past life. Luckily at this age, it was more acceptable.

"Merlin."

He called out thinking that he would stop moving deeper, but it seemed not to work. He cursed on the inside as he tried to call again.

"Oi Merlin."

But that seemed not to do anything either and so, he guessed that Merlin was thinking that he imagined things. Not a surprise as he shouldn't even be alive right now. Although he was reborn. God, he cursed himself for not remembering faster. He put a hand on his shoulder and stopping him from moving. It seemed to work. as he froze and soon turning his head now towards him.

"Merlin, what the hell are you thinking, doing right now?"

His voice laced with concern as well as his expression showed. Merlin stared at him wide-eyed, breath shuddered and soon he felt himself getting tackled in a hug by said person. Not soon afterward he felt something wet on him and it was then that he felt out of his frozen state and hugging him back. It broke his heart as he heard his heart-wrenching sobs. He could tell how much he suffered from hearing the sobs alone.

"Jeez did you miss me that much Merls?"

He asked, a bit more in a joking manner to make Merlin smile at least, but that backfired. Arthur heard him now hiccuped more and he felt him cling just even more. Almost as if his life depended on holding him. His heart was breaking into millions of pieces at this and he regrets dying now. It almost made him cry as well, but he wouldn't. Right now Merlin needed someone who is calm. That was why he wouldn't cry and be there for him. That was something that the said male needed right now.

"Yes...I-..."

His voice sounded so sad so desperate even. Even quivering was heard in his voice. Hearing this made his feel like the biggest jerk ever. How long was Merlin alone? How long was it since they really saw each other. As he noticed him crying more he rubbed the back in a soothing circular motion. Trying to make at least Merlin calm down more. It took a few minutes for Merlin to calm down. As both let go, he could see Merlin blink and looked at him in surprise. Probably because he wasn't used to seeing him in different clothes.

"Let's get outside of this lake. It is not really that warm."

He saw Merlin slightly nod, but not saying anything. This made him feel concerned but he wasn't going to say anything. So he took the smaller hand into his and leading him softly outside of the cold water. When they were outside Arthur paused a bit as he looked at him intently, in the hope that he hadn't tried to do what he came to the conclusion. Arthur saw him fidgeting and looking nervous, to the point he didn't even look at him.

"Don't tell me you were trying to do what I think you were going to do."

He said in a stern yet concern tone as he couldn't hide his concern for the raven-haired male. The worst was his eyes. The eyes he loved so dearly had lost their glow and looked dead. Or almost. They had some glow back now and he was glad about it. To his horror, Merlin nodded and made him swallow. So he really was right with this? God he wished his conclusion hadn't been right.

"Jeez, you should have waited A- what happened? Why are you two both wet down on your legs?"

As Gwaine's voice appeared he glanced at him and giving him a look that told him everything. His best friend widens his eyes and glanced in concern towards Merlin. Those two were close and best friend so it wasn't a surprise that Gwaine looked like this right now.

He saw Merlin snap his head towards his best friend and just stared silently at him. Not saying anything. It was clear why, and he hoped that he could help Merlin to get through this all.

"That Clotpole tried to kill himself."

He decided to be blunt about it and tell him. Gwain had the right to know, these two were best friends, after all. As soon as his words left, the said male stared at him with wide eyes. As the concern soon was seen on his face as well.

"Hold up why would Merlin do this?"

Merlin swallowed thickly but was quiet and he had a good guess. But he couldn't know until Merlin would say it out loud. So he stared at him, and Gwaine for sure was staring as well.

"I- uh-..."

He saw Merlin shuffle a bit more and as he looked everywhere else.

"Merlin, let's get you inside and then we will talk."

He decided to get inside of somewhere warm and then they could talk. He saw him walk towards a small house and he followed and Gwaine was right next to him. Both gave each other a concern eye contact and then looking back at the retreating person in both concern and horror that someone like Merlin would do this.

A/N I decided to make another part just with Arthur's pov. There will be a second part with Merlin's pov. But not sure when. I hope you enjoyed this and when he did, please give this a vote.
