Merlin when waking up had still felt exhausted and he rather wanted to go back to sleep, yet he could not anymore. That was why he groggily opened his eyes. His gaze went around and knowing that this was one of the guest rooms in Camelot and that it was late afternoon.
He heard some whispers and knew that it was both his older self and Arthur. The thought alone to see his soulmate of the past -or maybe dimension travel?- was making him unsure what to do. He always cared deeply for the prat but now he knew that this could not work. Merlin was a child and knowing their whispers it was obvious that they were arguing about something and he realized as well the other child curled on his side, watching the two with a calm look yet he could see that there had been something that upsetted the little boy.
"I am guessing you found out what was blocked." He decided to make it known that he was awake.
The look that both held made him know that it was sever and knowing Arthur, well the male was angry but not at him. This alone made him raise his eyebrow waiting for the explanation."He's core was 70 percentage blocked and he also had a form of shapeshifting as well. I also could feel another block that would make him talk fully to snakes. I don't know why or who done this but it was bad." The sever tone of his other self made him know that this could had been really bad.
"He also has a lot of bruises, for sure as well some bones that are fragile, because of sever malnourishment and there is as well the scars that might never leave." This was next added by Arthur and he counted to ten before talking.
"I am guessing me being here was out of protection to him and whoever done this was the big fat pig that was running after us. I can bet that the family life was not good at all." He grimaced as saying this and the flinch was enough for him to know that it was really bad.
"Do you think he-" He could not even say it out loud out of fear and he relaxed when they both at the same time denied it with a horrified look just at the thought of this."Thank god."
"Uh w'at awe ya tawking about?" The curious tone making all three smile softly.
"Don't worry about it." Both his other self and him said."Anyway, I am going now." Arthur said as leaving and he could see that there for sure was still tension going on. It was sad to see as he knew how much this was hurting his other self. But he also knew that he could not blame Arthur to think this way.
Who he could blame was the deceased Uther Pendragon, curse that man. Even now he was despising that bastard for making Arthur think this way. Just the thought alone lead for him to be pissed.
"Don't worry, knowing Arthur he has to come around." Merlin tried to reassure the other Merlin but even he was knowing that it was more him reassuring himself.
Because his Arthur had rejected him and this pained him. A reminder that this Merlin had the chance that he had not. His Arthur died and thinking about this was making him avoid looking at the adult."I am guessing that it went not well, huh?"
"You could say this but Arthur had found out when he was deathly injured. Yours isn't, leading for me to believe that this is not the same universe."
This was the last thing that was said as both -even the younger boy- could tell that whatever this was about had not gone well and this was how they drifted away from this topic. At some point they started to converse about names. And this was how the three decided that they should rename at least the nameless boy and maybe him too. Finding a name for him was not that easy but for the boy they decided to name him Henry Jade.He decided to go with Myrddin Emerson. The Emerson part was something that was similar to Emrys and he wanted to mess with his friends to see how long it would take for them to realize why they both had this surname.
