Merthur/Merlin one shot

Merlin the Disney "princess" 1 of 2 parts

M-preg or kind of warning. In which Merlin finds a spell that can make him turn female. But not in this but in the second part. Thought why not and I kind of like the idea. With this onward with the story.

The first time Arthur noticed something strange things happening around Merlin was when he had a squirrel on his shoulder. And it looked comfortable. Merlin wasn't seeming to mind and even pet the squirrel. There was as well the fact that he was humming a cheerful melody when cleaning his room. This made him want to hear him sing, his voice was genuine good. But he never mentioned anything and continued to look at his papers, but never really could concentrate. As Merlin looked adorable with that squirrel on his shoulder and him humming a happy tone.

The second time was; when there had been a knight getting attacked by the animals. Which name was Valiant? At first, he had ignored Merlin thinking he had lied. Like yes there was this massive snake head, but the person who should tell them, was killed. So that he was the one who ended up having to apologize to Valiant. And it was ashaming to do this. So that he was angry at Merlin, which he soon realized shouldn't have. Merlin just tried to warn him.

And he had to look twice when animals in the middle of the fight went towards Valiant.

They attacked Valiant and mostly the shield and his eyes bulged out at this.  Massive snakes came out, which he lucky defeated and ending up the other knight's life. He walked around and seeing Merlin look relieved. There was as well some proudness seen. This made him pat the male's shoulder and a nod as leaving.

The third time was when they went to their first hunt and decided to sleep. Merlin had birds nestling on his hair. And again, some squirrel on his shoulder. He could just stare and find this oddly endearing and adorable. Which why he blurted out-

"Aww look at this you have some friends on your shoulder and on your head how cute."

His eyes widen, and he felt his cheeks slightly heat up; feeling like the biggest moron ever. Merlin's head snapped to him, eyes for a moment as wide as staring at him but soon he had amusement in them.

"Aww well thank you, your pratness. I didn't expect a cabbage head like yours would give me a compliment like this."

In the end even a curtsey and he felt his cheeks heat up more. Which led to the two ends up in their familiar bickering, and he had to give it to Merlin, his presence was -even when he would never say it out loud- enjoyable.

So, they went to bed and when waking up he could just stare at the scene. But not just him, the knights of his as well. Merlin was surrounded by animals. A deer was letting Merlin snuggled into their belly. Which he had never seen an animal that comfortable. Like it even snapped his head towards him and looked at him in curiousness. As well as puzzlement yet as well a warning is seen. One thing was clear Merlin looked right now so peaceful and so adorable.

So that he gave the deer a nod and saw that animal put his head back down. A few minutes later and he stirred. By now the knights had packed their things and he as well. It was just that he had not the heart to wake the young adult up- when he was looking that peaceful. Merlin first let out a groan, then having his eyes slowly opened, stifling a yawn, stretching, and giving the deer a scratch.

Blue eyes met his ones and he could see them widen and he scrambled up as profusely apologizing. Which was amusing in his eyes and he couldn't help but snort now.

"It's fine. I got something in return. Seeing your adorable sleeping face."

The male flushed deeply now, and a smirk started to stretch out. This was fun and let's just say he teased the male the entire way back.
