It was a while now. He lost everyone one by one. His heart still longed for Arthur and he believed that he would come back. He was sure that he would, after all, it was something that was told to him. He wrote journals about the entire time and they stacked up one by one. There were as well sometimes drawings of his journey. And now he had his own small house near the lake. He could always watch the lake whenever he felt his longing again.

By now it was 600 years later and he was wondering when he would come back. He worked at a small library. And loved it. He didn't need to talk much and he was being sometimes really awkward so he was glad about this.

At one day his boss came to him and he was really wondering what he would want, until he said something that made him blink and not sure how to react.

"Are you alright? You seem sometimes really down. And I am concerned for your health. Not to mention about what you told me. How about you make an appointment to this therapist. I trust her and she could help you."

At first he wanted to decline, but then to humor him he told him that he would go. After all, what could go wrong? And he knew that his memories were real and he could never let someone tell him otherwise.

So he went and he was feeling confusion at the known doctor Jennifer. This female as well seemed familiar. But he never could put where he saw her before. She was nice, but he couldn't believe that she told him that he was imagining all these memories. It wasn't possible and these memories are just his imagination because of his lonely childhood. They weren't real and he felt a bit upset about it. As he knew they were real and he knew he had magic, although he wasn't going to tell her this.

He wasn't even sure why he continued going to these 'session's'. Maybe it was because he needed someone to talk to. But at some point, he was slowly starting to believe her. Slowly he thought everything was his imagination even his magic. And that he really had imagined everything. She even told him to burn his journals, but he never could and he didn't know why.

It was three months later that something weird was happening outside of the lake. It was weird and he wasn't sure what think of this. The lake went up and twirling, almost like a hurricane. His brows furrowed as it looked unnatural and a part told him that this had to do with magic, but pushed that aside, knowing that he was imagine things. His eyes widen now as he saw a man step out of the lake. He wore an armor and it looked old. Eyes furrowed at this and he knew that this was his imagination, there was no way that a man could come up from a lake. This wasn't possible! And to make it worse, this person looked like his best friend Arthur. Not just best friend but crush.

The said look alike was looking around in confusion, and soon he looked into his direction. His heart thundering in his chest and he felt his breathing shuddering. This can't be real! This wasn't real! There was no way that he would be here! Yes, he lost it clearly.

"Merlin?"

He hear him call out for him, but he was rushing inside again and running towards his room as closing the door. No way was this real. Jennifer told him that this was just his imagination. But something nagged him, that something was a different part who told him that this was real. It nagged more and he plopped down as hugging his knees and burying his face into his legs and muttering over...

"This isn't real. This isn't real. I am imagining it all. He isn't real my brain just made him up..."

A knock was heard and he rocked back and forth still with the same muttering. With the same things over and over.

"Merlin can you get away from the door please?"

His breath shuddered and he wasn't sure why, but he done as he was told. The door got opened and he stayed in this position.
