Merthur/Merlin one shot

Tail 2

The entire day since having his legs, he was clinging on Arthur. His leg wrapped around the hip and arms around the neck. Arthur carried him the entire day seemingly not really caring either and he couldn't feel any happier than this. Maids and servants looked at this strangely but as well with amusement and astonishment.

"You really are happy, aren't you?" It was the voice of Arthur who held amusement yet as well adoration at this.

"Of course, I am, prat. I finally have my legs back. I missed this so much." Voice soft yet so much joy heard, and this was making Arthur glance back and giving him a soft expression and smile. As well fondness, it just made him feel cheeks heat up.

"Glad to see you happy." His voice held the same emotions and he couldn't help but beam now and hug the male even more.

"Love you so much, cabbage head."

"Love you too, moron." Eyes were rolled as Arthur said this and he giggled now.

Even after a few days later he was still beaming and sneaked many hugs and sometimes done the same thing as the first day he ended here.

Merlin had adjusted fine into this age but still needed help and awed at the new technology there was. It was new and even the clothes and everything else he needed to learn. So that it took a while, but there was one big issue that he had no idea how to handle.

Everyone thought he broke the curse, but a part stayed and it would always be a part. But let's start at how he found out about this.

"Come on it's should be fine." Arthur grinned brightly at him. Both were hand in hand walking up to the pool.

It had been now a month. A month where he had to learn how to walk again. He even had to start reading, just anything that he would need later on for the public. As well as how they met and just everything. Arthur was after all a prince and now that he was the boyfriend it was clear that he would need to learn many things.

"Arthur, I don't think it will be fine." His voice was holding an edge at this and well he got thrown into the water.

A weird tingling sensation starting to be felt and soon he realized that his legs were back to well the tail. Eyes widen and he let out a startling click sound. Because this happened when he showered as well. But he hid this because he wasn't feeling that Arthur wouldn't accept him like this. A pout was felt, and he stayed down there trying to figure out what was going on.

Around five more minutes, he decided to swim up. Eyes looking now at the confused yet concerned Arthur. All he could do was sending his thoughts up and giving him one-word' tail,' it was all that was needed.

The prince looked startled and he starting to hug the person now. It wasn't fair and he was scared that he would never get back.

"Hey, let's try something out alright?" A soft yet reassuring voice was given, and he slowly nodded but eyes not looking at his boyfriend.

The male picked him up and put him next to the pool and he had to wait now. For what he wasn't sure, but he waited with a few whining clicks went out. It was just that he wasn't liking the wait.

One minute, Two Minutes....ten minutes waiting, then after five minutes a weird sensation was felt and his legs turned back and everything that he had before as well.

"Well, I think you ended up as half merman now." His voice sounded slightly cautious and he let out a sigh. It wasn't what he liked and how will they do this from now on? "Did this happen when you washed your hands or showered?" His voice held curiousness now and he felt his cheeks heat up.

"As soon as water ended up on my legs, I starting to have well that...." His voice trailed off and he felt a soft sensation on his forehead.

"Moron, tell me something like this, and don't hide it." His voice gently scolding him, but it was clear that the concern was there.

"Sorry, I just-..." His voice was soft, and he wasn't wanting to tell him more because Arthur knew. He always knew when he said something like this.

"Even when you have a tail, I love you. Just don't hide things like this anymore alright?" Voice still gently and he could nod at this. It was since then that -when he showered- Arthur helped out and well it was embarrassing but it showed how much his boyfriend cared for him.

Not to mention that it wasn't the first time that he saw him naked and this time it was just with a tail. A tail he had seen before, so it was a bit less embarrassing, but still embarrassing to him.

It was early winter and so far, he hadn't really felt sleepy or a bit sleepy but not really how he felt when being in the lake. But there was a bit of an issue. A new maid was working in the castle and she well wasn't that nice.

Stacy went with Arthur to school and she always loved him, and she pushed him around. No one knew about this and he never would want to tell her this. But he should have and soon realized this when he went outside.

He was searching for Arthur and met Stacy. The feeling looked really pissed off and its kind of scared him slightly. So, he stepped back, and she stepped foreword. Another thing to note was that it was slippery, and he had not realized that this was near the pool. Until it was too late...

His footing slipped on the ice and he fell on the cover. Because of speed and his body was dragged down and he ended up being engulfed into water. Not a good sign as it was freezing cold. Stacy in a fright ran away instead of helping, a good thing.

Because the tingling sensations started and by now, he was underwater. Then he felt his body turn off. All went black soon after this...

Warm.

Crackling from a fire somewhere heard and something warm wrapped around him. Under him was felt something relatively bouncy. Not just something soft but as well someone hugging him tightly. It wasn't that tightly yet tightly enough. But he still wasn't opening his eyes.

It felt like that time before he slowly regained his state back. It was always like this and usually, it took hours for him to get back.

His eyes slowly opened, and he snuggled into whoever had wright now their arms around him. Slowly he realized that he was at one of the living rooms they had. It was a living room the closest to the pool. His brows even furrowed first and when he remembered he let out a sigh.

Now at least he knew that he would end up like others in winter sleep. That meant that it could be used against him. A shiver went through him and he buried his face into the chest of Arthur. By now he knew who it was, and that just alone by smell and there was the tug he felt.

His magic went out on him and the male stirred awake. Someone was going through his hair absent-minded. Until he peaked out and both eyes met. His eyes held love, adoration yet relieves but as well something that told him, nothing could stop him from finding out what happened.

"Alright, now that you're out of your winter sleep, let's talk about why you were in the water." His voice stern yet the horror still heard, and he winced at this and muttering an apology, before explaining what happened.

Stacy ended up arrested and he since then Arthur made sure to always have one of his bodyguards -mainly Gwaine- near him. So that this wouldn't happen anymore. There were as well cuddles, pepper kisses coming from Arthur since then.
